The cottage Perriots is a stone house of 165 m2, fully renovated in 2013 and decorated with care as for ourselves. Its southern exposure on a fully enclosed garden is ideal in Normandy with 6 rooms on 7 facing south including the large veranda to the garden which makes you feel even when the weather outside is average. Great views of the countryside and the pleasures of the beach are just 2 kms. When you arrive, an electric gate opens onto a gravelled courtyard that can accommodate up to 3 cars 5 seats.
The cottage is ideally located between Perriots, to the east, Omaha Beach, the American cemetery and memorial, golf of Omaha Beach, the fishing port of Port en Bessin, the historic site of Arromanches and the historic town of Bayeux with its tapestry and west, Pointe du Hoc (4km), Grandcamp Maisy the fishing port, the German cemetery of La Cambe and the beautiful Cotentin peninsula.

The house is charming, spacious, and comfortable; it was perfect for our family of seven adults. The house was extremely clean and well-equipped for our needs, including cooking dinner most nights of the week we were there. But even better than the house were our hostesses, Veronique and Anne. They were beyond gracious. We had quite a few travel problems but Veronique was at the house when we arrived and her daughter Anne came soon after. They were able to take care of our rental car problem, taking my husband to rent a car on a Sunday evening because of their personal connections with the garage owner! They showed us where a market was and even took us to a local restaurant so we could get some dinner and introduced us to the proprietor. As amazing as Normandy and its history was, the best part was our wonderful hostesses! I wish I could write this all in French so they will know how grateful we are but my French is limited. I hope someone will make sure they know the content of this review. We could not be happier with the house and with them as our vacation angels!

We had a wonderful short break at your property with all our family (including our American grandchildren. Everything was spotless when we arrived and extremely well equipped with plenty of space for our big group. The open fire was lovely and appeciated so much when we arrived after a very bumpy sea crossing over the Channel! The shops were close and the boulangerie excellent. There was nothing lacking in the property and the children enjoyed the games like ping-pong and boules in the garden. We would love to return again and were sorry we could not stay longer but the children needed to get back to the USA for school!! It is so well positioned for the tourist sites of the area. the boys have been studying about WW2 and the Normandy landing sites so it all became very relevant. You made us feel very welcome and were there to answer any queries. Your website pictures and description were very accurate. We have lovely memories and thank you for all you did to make it easy for us. Happy New Year 2014.
Access is very easy.
The A13 motorway Paris - Cherbourg through Formigny (between Bayeux and Isigny on Sea).
We must get out of the 4-way Formigny, turn right towards Vierville on sea, then left after the church Damigni to Vierville on sea.
A Vierville on sea, after the church (on the left), turn left toward Grandcamp Maisy road RD 514. 2 kms away, the gite Perriots awaits you on the left at the blue sign (a place called) Englesqueville Breakthrough.
On the GPS, the easiest way is to go to Vierville sea and then take the direction of Grandcamp Maisy on the left, the house is located 2 km away.
I suggest you go through the sea is beautiful, the landscape changes several times a day, in which case you have to go to Saint Laurent sur Mer and follow the coast to Vierville on sea.
I recommend at Saint Laurent sur Mer, the restaurant of Pine Forest where Isabelle Payot will welcome you personally, you will find at the end of the beach of Saint Laurent on Wed.
A Grandcamp Maisy, I recommend the restaurant La Trinquette led masterfully by Huguette, his son and his daughter.
You will spend a holiday between sea and countryside, you will find our very large sandy beach, children can make "blocks", a yacht club with boats and sand yachts, the beautiful Normandy countryside with its beautiful farms, the Golf Port-en-Bessin, horse clubs with possibility of horseback ride on the beach.
cultural holidays: the historic landing sites as the American cemetery and museum of Colleville sur Mer, the Pointe du Hoc, the museums of the landing, the port fishing port in Bessin and Grandcamp-Maisy, oyster farms, ...
