Why Alan & Lori Sanborn chose Lexington
We recently purchased our dream cottage a few years ahead of schedule. We love the beauty of the area and have felt drawn to the water. Lake Huron's whispering voice and beautiful sunrises are very fulfilling. There's more peace and quiet during the winter, while summertime is full of adventure and fun. We believe the Heights to be the best community within miles.

Very nice house with the best views from every room.
We had a great stay. Very peaceful and relaxing. Loved having the beach right there. Would definitely book again.
what a great place to relax and enjoy a beautiful view!!!!!!!!
I just can't say enough about this rental. My family enjoyed the location, the cottage itself, and the beautiful beach and lake views! The state boat launch was free and only a short 3 mile boat ride to the front of the cottage. The owners were responsive and very caring people. We locked ourselves out and they helped us out immediately! Neighbors were wonderful as well. Hope to rent again soon. I highly recommend this rental to everyone!
We loved our stay!
The cottage was comfortable and cozy. the view was an answer to frayed nerves. At first I couodn't get the key to work. So just a hint on how to open the screen door would be helpful. My only helpful suggestion would be to add a large pitcher for mixing drinks and more towels available.
Overall I wish we could have stayed longer!
Karan and her family took good care of our cottage, and I appreciate her helpful suggestions. I will bring up a pitcher for drinks. I did not know there was a problem with the key, so we will look into it right away. Also my cleaning crew typically leaves 10 to 12 towels for our guests; we will increase this amount if necessary.
Liked this property very much. We'll go back.
A lovely cottage, well appointed, clean and neat, and incredible views of Lake Huron and the beach. Attentive and friendly owners. We recommend this property.
Perfect place to escape the busy-ness and cares of day to day life!!
3 Sr. Ladies needing some time away to regroup after a stressful year! The Lake House was comfortable, with some newly remodled items and a FIREPLACE to sit by as we watched the sunrise on the Lake and freighters pass by. It was exactly what we needed and hope to return another time.....at ANY season it would be beautiful!! I would suggest taking your own linen for the beds. Thanks Lori! You are a gracious and prompt in answering questions.
Comfortable with a great view
Grandma's Lake House is accurately described. Although not modern, it has what we needed. The house was right sized for our visit, with different rooms to congregate in depending on the time of day/weather. Beds were comfortable. Kitchen functional and big enough (watch the lid on the coffee pot :) ). The view of and proximity to Lake Huron was why we picked this property, and we were not disappointed.
Michigan's oldest drive-in is located just 20 minutes northwest; movies change weekly. Great family fun...also scenic driving due north will take you to Port Sanilac with its historic museum/village, lighthouses, and an old-fashioned barn theatre (weekly performances)
