Perfect Conclusion to our France Trip

We loved this home and town and wish we could have stayed much longer. The hosts were so kind to all of us and will be friends for life. The home was so clean and had everything and more than we needed. It was a wonderful treat too have access to a wash machine after traveling with a family for so many days.

Magnifique gîte et des propriétaires très sympathiques

Nous n'avons passé que deux nuits dans ce gîte à proximité du pôle de l'âne et du cheval. C'est un endroit décoré et aménagé avec beaucoup de goût, nous avons été très bien accueillis et nous avons pu profiter du calme pour nous reposer. Encore merci à toutes les deux. Pascaline

Beau gîte calme et sympa

Beau gîte, décoré avec goût et soins. Propriétaires sympathiques passionnées. Le petit jardinet est très chouette mais pas directement attenant au logement un peu dommage. Nous avons passé un bon séjour. La région est riche d histoire et de culture . Merci.

Herzlich und erholsam

Das Haus steht in der Kleinstadt Lignieres an einer kaum befahrenen Seitenstraße. Zum Supermarkt kommt man schnell und einen Bäcker gibt es auch noch. Das sind schon mal Vorteile einer Stadtunterkunft. Im Haus ist alles da , was man braucht, alles super eingerichtet. Dazu 3 Schlafzimmer und zwei Bäder. Die Vermieterinnen sind sehr herzlich .Wir hatten auch immer ein Plätzchen im wunderbaren Garten, der über den Hof der Vermieterinnen erreichbar ist. Das Berry ist auch kulturell kein Ödland, es gibt wunderbare Klöster und Kirchen und auch Badeseen in 30 km Entfernung. Nach Bourges haben wir uns wegen Corona nicht getraut. Muss aber eine tolle Stadt sein. Für alle, die Ruhe, Erholung und Kultur schätzen und auch die sensationelle Gastfreundschaft von Julie und Nicole, können wir dieses Haus nur weiterempfehlen.

Why Alain Fournier he celebrated Berry, why George Sand's she so loved?
Delacroix, Chopin, Franz Liszt, Alfred de Musset, Alexandre Dumas, Gustave Flaubert ... there have long stayed, with George Sand.

Why they chose this property

Carpentry workshop for 4 generations, the late eighteenth century building made of stone and slate roof next to our homes was our barn. We had known the last carpenter and purchased the studio at his death. One day the roof would put to slip, we decided to restore the whole building into a comfortable and modern residential house. We have preserved and developed the stone walls, the pretty, oak, the antique fireplace Louis XVI style regional volumes of the workshop ...
In 1987, we had had a crush on was Lignières where high Sainte Jeanne de France, daughter of Louis XI and Queen of France, and the Berry so rich in sights, castles, mansions exceptional character-Jacques Coeur, Charles VII, Jean Duc de Berry, Colbert, George Sand, Alain Fournier ... and stayed where Delacroix, Chopin, Liszt, Alexandre Dumas .....
