Dining area comfortably seats 4. Also includes a sleeping alcove with a double bed. Twin air bed available upon request.There is wireless internet. Enjoy evenings on the private patio where you will find a large picnic table, comfortable seating and a chiminea . A short walk to hiking trails, shops and restaurants.

About Carol Haramis

I am the 5th generation to live and work on our 167 year old farm. I grew up playing in the barns, swimming in our sandstone quarry and riding the fields on my horses. My husband , George, and I grow Christmas trees and daylilies and we hold a month long Fall Festival in October called Pumpkin Pandemonium. In my 'free' time I love to garden, hike and volunteer with dog rescue.Our family includes 3 rescue cats and 3 rescue dogs. We have lived and worked all over the world but the beauty and tranquility of the farm, the Village of Peninsula and the Cuyahoga Valley always calls us home.

What makes this apartment unique

I love the farm for it's beautiful gardens, secluded trails in the woods and the rolling Christmas tree fields surrounding the old farmhouse. The front porch is a great place to greet the day with a hot cup of coffee. Relaxing on the gazebo watching sunset with a glass of wine or a soft drink is the perfect end to the day. And if you like to be outdoors after dark you can tell stories around the fire pit or join a night bike ride on the CVNP Towpath Trail.The farm is a great place to base for hiking or biking in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. Downhill Skiing and snowboarding can be found 2 miles away and there is access to National Park cross country ski trails right here on the farm. Downtown Peninsula with it's shops, restaurants, galleries and museums is less than 1/2 mile away.We are located 15 minutes from theaters, malls, museums, county and national parks and much much more. The city of Akron is 20 minutes to the south and Cleveland is 25-30 minutes north with highway access to both places only 2 miles away.

Heritage Farms is located in the heart of the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. Brandywine Golf Course is located one mile away. Within 2 miles of the farm you will find Blossom Music Center, the summer home of the Cleveland Orchestra and a great place to experience summer outdoor concerts of all kinds. Boston Mills/Brandywine Ski Resorts are also two miles away. You're only 18 minutes by car from 7 movie theaters, shopping malls,universities, concert venues and just about any activity you would like. We are 20 minutes from Downtown Akron and 30 minutes from Downtown Cleveland. Major airports are 35 minutes from us. We are very centrally located with easy access to many major highways and the Ohio Turnpike.

Perfection

This rental was clean, well supplied and organized. It was nice to use utensils, dishes, etc. that were obviously purchased recently for the rental rather than cast-offs from the family. A real treat was a three gallon water cooler in the kitchen. There are just two of us. The rental can sleep 4. A third and fourth person would have to sleep in a bed in an alcove separated from the great room by a curtain. We used the bed and the rest of this area for our suitcases and gear so the rest of the unit remained very pleasantly uncluttered. The rental is attached to the back of the farmhouse on a beautiful Christmas tree farm. The owner is on hand, constantly working on the property with an obvious focus on the many flowers in hanging pots and in the beds . She was attentive but not intrusive. The location, Peninsula, is in the center of Cuyahoga Valley National Park and a perfect location for visiting all parts of the park. Peninsula has two very good restaurants and nearby Hudson has a couple of nice restaurants for those looking for finer dining. We have already recommended this rental to family members.

Perfectly cozy and convenient

This apartment was just right for our small family. Well equipped, including games and puzzles for a rainy day. Friendly hosts, who gave us privacy and great advice on what to see and do. Convenient location, central to the park. Finally, so peaceful, perfect place to relax!

Quiet, Quaint, & Quintessential

We fell in love with this place the moment we saw it on VRBO. Upon arrival, it far exceeded our expectations. The 'apartment' was well equipped and a nice place to call our "home base". The farm is centrally located and perfect for visiting other parts of Ohio. We spent an evening dining in Cleveland and two days hiking the falls in Dublin and Cuyahoga Falls. A lovely place to reconnect with nature.
