Why Mary Braukman chose Willamette Valley Oregon

The minute you walk in the door it feels like home. This historical home was once on the path of the Tillamook stage coach through the Trask Mountains. It truly is like no other.

What makes this farmhouse unique

The views and the history of the home are really what brought us here. This home dates back to the 1880's and is documented to be the oldest known house in its area. It is well kept up and much of its remodeling has its original era.

Absolute fantastic!!!

  • 5 of 5

This was the best weekend visit ever! We thoroughly enjoyed the Farm House. The owners have done a beautiful job of setting the house up. From supplying laundry soap to even supplying a high chair, they have done a marvelous job of making the house feel like home!!! I can see a family going their and having Thanksgiving dinner. The view was beautiful. Everything was perfect! Our little group will go again for sure. Thank you for the hospitality. I recommend this place to anyone. We just really stayed at the house, ate, played games and socialized. Wonderful!!

Great spot for a getaway vacation!

  • 5 of 5

If you're looking for a place that gets you away from everything - this is it! It's a great farmhouse: lots of space inside and out, very clean, fully-stocked kitchen, farm cats. The pictures are a good representation of what you'll get - but they don't fully show just how removed from everything it is. That said, getting to Oregon wineries was easy from here, and McMinnville is about 15mins away for groceries, drinks, etc. We had family stay - from 2 to 70 (in fact, we celebrated the 70th at the farmhouse). Worked for everyone. Hosts even left a bottle of Oregon Pinot Noir for us - great way to arrive!

Home away from home in the wine country of Oregon

  • 5 of 5

Pictures don't do it justice. This house was everything and more that we needed. The owners were extremely responsive, left notes of when they would be by for the barn cats. They even left a vase of beautiful flowers one morning for us. We will definitely be planning on staying here again on our next trip out. We felt welcomed, like we were staying at a friend/family members vacation house, not just another number at a hotel.

Family weekend in the Oregon wine country

  • 4 of 5

This old farmhouse worked very well for our family of 4 couples and a two year old. We spent 4 days there and had plenty of room outdoors for people to relax after visiting a couple of nearby wineries. We would definitely go back.

Great view, very clean

  • 3 of 5

We spent a lovely five days at the farmhouse. It is well located to visit wineries in the Dundee and Carlton areas and only 20 minutes from McMinnville. The kitchen is well-equipped, and the house is immaculately clean. Best of all, is the wonderful view of the Cascades from the porch and the beautiful grounds.

The reason for the three stars is that both of the bathrooms are on the first floor, while three of the four bedrooms are upstairs. At night, that means a trip up and down stairs in an unfamiliar house for the guests using the upstairs bedrooms. The location of the bathrooms is not made clear in the description of the house. It might not have been a deal breaker for us, but it would have been nice to know.

Adding to the problem is the very small size of the bathroom off the downstairs "master bedroom" and its almost non-existent water pressure. That meant all us (four adults) had to use the shower in the second bathroom. It was manageable for us, but could be a problem with a larger number of guests all trying to get ready at the same time.

Owner's Response: Thank you for taking the time to give us a review. We will certainly address the bathroom information in our listing but I am stumped at the water pressure problem as when we spoke on the phone you stated everything was great. You also stated you were not actually staying in the home and that you were renting the place next door due to your large party. I wish your guests had informed us when they had the problem as we would of had maintenance up there immediately to address any issues. I also asked housekeeping and the team we had taking care of watering outdoor plants and they didn't notice a problem with the pressure at all. I'm wondering if the problem was a bubble in a line due to the new filter put at the pump which maintenance could of addressed for a more pleasant stay. Sincerely, Mary

Very clean and well kept. Everything was wonderful.

Great property. The only issue was with the phone service. AT & T did not have service there. Version does although it is not the owners fault. We had a great time !
