Overview

About the property

Wooded, upscale, beautiful home on over 1.25 acres near I-355 and I-88.

Our 5,000 sf luxurious estate --nestled in a private cul-de-sac neighborhood just minutes away from urban Chicago -- is towered over by centuries old oak trees on a meticulously landscaped yard.

This idyllic home boasts dramatic picture windows, over-sized custom fireplaces, two first floor staircases and modern kitchen and baths. Life here is flavored with beautifully decorated sunlit rooms, casual outdoor walking & sitting spaces and easy access to public transportation to Chicago.

Relax in the family room with a roaring wood burning fireplace while listening to the baby grand player piano heard from the living room. Or, roll out of bed and exercise in a second story work out facility with treadmill, dual cable weight system, and adjustable barbell weights. Enjoy Foosball or table tennis in the large open finished basement.

The breathtaking views of the tree house, grape vine pergola and running pond with waterfalls can be seen from all rear facing rooms. Walking out onto the two-tiered bluestone patio and paths, there is ample table and casual seating after cooking on the natural gas grill. Choose to enjoy the large open space for a game of volleyball with others or relax peacefully on the hammock by yourself. Or just gaze from the tree house balcony high up among the branches!

The home is located on a quiet street walking distance from movie theaters, restaurants and an 18 hole golf course. Bicycle trails and forest preserves are blocks away. Close to I-88, I-355, Lisle Metra, the home is only 35 minutes from the Chicago “Loop” and 10 minutes from downtown Naperville.

Twelve guests can comfortably sleep in the five bedrooms on the second floor -- a king bed, three queen beds and a full sized bed -- and in the sixth bedroom on the first floor with a queen bed. There are four full baths (one on the first floor) and two half baths.

Please respect that this is our personal residence and not a commercial venue. Any parties or events for non-resident guests need to be approved first and are subject to additional requirements and fees. We live in the area and can be reached for support at any time.

About Yousuf and Dilara

We raised our now adult children in this home but currently maintain another residence in the City of Chicago.

Yousuf and Dilara purchased this house in 2001

Why Yousuf and Dilara chose Illinois

This home has allowed us to access major city amenities, yet has provided us the privacy of a modern country retreat. We love that our neighbors board their own horses!

What makes this house unique

We fell in love with the backyard. 200+ year old oak trees shade the yard even on the hottest of summer days. The yard inspired us to build a tree-house in the back of the property.

Guestbook comments from the owner

We are glad Debra and her family had a chance to enjoy the outdoors and indoors of our home. They were respectful guests and we welcome them back in the future at any time!

Many ammenities, many conviences, lovely location, many issues to be dealt with...............

  • 3 of 5

The owner was available & accommodating but we unfortunately arrived shortly after a wedding had be held in the back yard of the property several days prior and the rain, coupled with the large number of wedding attendees in the back yard, left a mud pit for our grandchildren to NOT play in. The featured, listed "tree house" is in need of MAJOR repair as there were not "steps" to get to the landing area where the broken, removed tube slide was formerly attached; another knock for our grandchildren. The listed "running creek" was non-operational as told personally to us by the owner, when he arrived to inspect his cleaning crews sloppy job of cleaning the multiple bathrooms.

Owner specifically states that "..this is their home..." and closets filled with clothing, jackets & piles of shoes on the closet floors are a direct confirmation. That, coupled with food left in the two refrigerators (kitchen & garage), gave us an odd sense of rental as tenants.

There were other "little" issues that we had to deal with, which did not detract from our stay, as most of our daytime was spent off property. But there were enough that I have only given a three star (good) rating (not very good or excellent nor poor or terrible) for this rental.

Others may find no issues, but I may be overstating, based on our collective families high standards when renting a home (we are former mountain vacation home rental owners ourselves).

Hopefully the owner is working to correct the homes issues and raise their rental standards.

Owner's Response: Jim, Thanks for you valuable feedback. We do strive to for everyone to have a great experience and are sorry that you didn't. You are absolutely correct, this is our home and we do enjoy staying there and also sharing it, but it is not intended to be a de-personalized hotel. Many other guests have commented that this makes the house a warmer place to stay than a hotel. The creek and waterfall are man-made and we do shut them down for the winter, but will be back operational in the spring, as we discussed. While the small landing area below the treehouse (3 feet above the ground) does not have a rail and should be used at your own risk, the actual treehouse (10 feet high) and stairs are completely protected by railing. The tubular slide is solidly bolted down. We have never had an issue with safety. We are truly sorry for the poor cleaning quality of the bathrooms and refrigerators, which is why we did refund you the cost of cleaning. The heavy rains did make a small part of the yard muddy, however, because the property is so big, hopefully you were able to enjoy the remaining acre of grassy backyard. There were other items you shared with us personally for which we are grateful. Thanks for taking the time to make your comments. We would be happy to share our home with you again! Yousuf and Dilara

Wonderful place

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our stay at this wonderful house. The house is huge, and the backyard looks like a park. There is plenty of room for everyone to spread out. We didn't even use the front room, dining room, or basement. The neighborhood is quiet, and it's an easy drive to Chicago or the western suburbs. If you are looking for a large, upscale place to meet your friends and family, this is the place. Yosuf came to the house to see if we had everything that we needed. He was extremely nice. We would definitely recommend staying here. One thing, though, bring washcloths with you, as none were to be found.

Beautiful home with an amazing backyard

  • 5 of 5

The home was very spacious for our group of 11 people to get away from our Wisconsin homes and enjoy the Naperville area at the end of July. We loved the comfortable atmosphere. We all enjoyed the home and backyard very much. It was like being home while on vacation.

The house is beautiful, very comfortable and quiet.

  • 5 of 5

My Mom and sisters (6 of us) stayed at this house for a week. We like to cook and would eat breakfast and dinner in and then play cards and dominos in the evening. We would tour the area and Chicago during the day.

Naperville was great with lots of good restaurants and nice boutiques.

The house was perfect for our needs. We had coffee in the morning and cocktails in the evening out on the back porch. The yard is absolutely beautiful, well kept with huge oak trees and a man-made stream. We loved that it was so quiet and in a beautiful neighborhood.

Beds were nice and comfortable - lots of room to spread out. Kitchen and stove really nice. The Owner came by once or twice to make sure we had all we needed and kept in touch by text messaging. Our only complaint was that all the drawers in the night stands and dressers were filled with the Owner's things. Closet space was limited. It would have been nice to have some empty drawers so that we could unpack our suitcases, but it was only a minor problem. We would definitely recommend the house.
