What an awesome place to stay!
We really enjoyed our time here. There is a lot of space and the cabin itself is beautiful. The layout was perfect for our group. The living room is spacious and comfy, great to wind down at the end of each day. We will definitely rent again.
Loved the view of the mountains! Everything was just as described in the details of the cabin.
Great Cabin- Great Views!
This was our second time using VRBO and staying in Salida, Co. The lodge style cabin was perfect for our family of 4, but can easily accommodate 6-8. The cabin was clean, spacious, and accommodating with stunning mountain views that overlooked the town. Great viewing from the deck and loft area too. I got up in middle of night every night just to check out the views from the large windows. It was impressive to view the full moon, stars and city lights down below. Town was a short 5 minute drive and close to many activities.
The beds were of memory foam and very comfortable. Check the tv in the loft as it could not be used, (did not have a signal.) The kitchen could use a little organization and few more supplies but basics are there. I understand the water is on a well system, but must do something with the low water pressure in the showers. Very difficult for women with long hair to get soap rinsed, let alone a hairy man. Rental price is very reasonable as well.
Norman was a very friendly and welcoming host. Easy to work with and responds quickly during communication. I would definitely recommend this cabin and hope to return myself some day. Thank you Norman for allowing us to be your guest. It was a wonderful vacation in Colorado's playground of activities. ~ S. Curtis
Thanks for the kind review. I am glad you enjoyed your stay and I would love to have you back for a vacation in the future. You were great guests. I replaced the 12 month water filter on July 2 after only 2 months of use and I removed the low flow restrictions an the shower heads. Thanks again.
Great Place! Clean and Comfortable!
2nd stay for us at this property. Owner is great, view is fabulous! It was perfect for our family. We even had the pleasure of morning visits from a neighborhood dog named Louie. Will stay again.
Cozy cabin with a great view
We go to Salida quite often during the winter and have stayed at various places in the area and this place is great. It's quiet and cozy, spacious enough to fit about 7 or 8 comfortably. The owner was very friendly and easy to communicate. Everything was clean and very pleasant.
Loved it and would book it again!
My two sons and I used this as our base camp on our first elk hunt. It was only 30 minutes to our hunting spot and it was GREAT to be able to come home to a warm house to eat, shower and sleep. The wrap around deck offered incredible views of the mountains. Lots of mule deer in the neighborhood to keep us pumped up for the hunt.
The cabin is well stocked with everything that should need. Internet is not the greatest as stated by others but, it worked for what we needed. Not a concern for us as we were there to get away from most things.
Close to downtown and we made several trips to enjoy the wonderful bars, taverns and restaurants.
We look forward to booking here again for some summer time activities.
Local Breweries, wineries, exploring, Great Sand Dunes, skiing. This is a year round playground. Monarch Mountain gets 400 plus inches of snow a year. Amazing jeep trails, single track and jeep roads to be ridden by mountain bike or dirt bike. Salida offers something to do every weekend. You will always be able to find something to do.
