Spacious Lakefront Home - boat dock on deep water

Bedrooms 4
Space 2,600 sq ft
Property type house
Minimum Stay 4 nights

About the property

This spacious, modern 4 bedroom lakefront home is a perfect getaway for families and couples alike. Located on a small cul-de-sac within Jamestown Village, the house is surrounded by woods.

There's plenty of room inside to relax, step outside and the cool water of Lake Sinclair awaits. After the hustle and bustle of everyday life, just pack your suitcase, pick up your groceries and come and enjoy 'LakeLife'. We have taken great care to make sure everything you need is here to help you rest and relax your mind. The main level of the home is open plan with kitchen, dining room and great room with 18 foot ceiling which makes it bright and airy. Also queen bedroom and bathroom. In addition, there is a sunroom which makes a great reading/game nook, complete with two day beds it makes for a great lazy afternoon nap.

Three bedrooms downstairs include the large master bedroom with King bed and en-suite bathroom. Two additional bedrooms both with queen beds, as well as a bathroom, den with sofa/sleeper and laundry room. Two sets of french doors(from Master and den) open out onto the lower covered deck and yard which offer terrific lake views.

The large wrap-around deck upstairs offers spectacular, picturesque views of the lake, where you can enjoy your morning coffee or evening meal while observing the local wildlife and enjoying the peaceful serenity of Lake Sinclair.

A few steps down to the large deep water dock, allows for great fishing and swimming, subathing and of course water activities for all. The covered double dock boasts a large boathouse/slip with easy boat access. Bring your own boat/watercraft and tie up here. Boat launch access is just a few minutes drive from the house.

Situated on a wide section of Log Dam Creek, you are only seconds away from the main body of the lake, this is ideal for families with children as they can play safely in the lake without worrying about excess boat traffic. Oconee Springs Park is only 5 minutes by boat if you need gas/supplies.

All of the bedrooms have been newly painted and decorated and have new modern furniture and mattresses for your comfort and convenience. We bought the house in late 2014 and have spent the Fall/Winter redecorating and making it a 'home away from home'. The majority of furniture and furnishings in the home are all brand new, we took great care and consideration in selecting high quality pieces with comfort and enjoyment in mind.

About Vikki Beech

My husband and I grew up in England, we moved to the USA in 1996. We are married with three great children and home is the small country town of Guyton, Georgia.

Vikki Beech purchased this house in 2014

Why Vikki Beech chose Sparta

Four years ago, friends told us how relaxing a vacation on the lake could be, so we decided on Lake Sinclair. After renting Lakefront properties for four consecutive summers, we decided that this was the best place to enjoy some relaxing family time with the children and a place we wanted to come...often! It is perfect for families of all ages. The peace and serenity of the lake is a great way to get some R&R, whilst having a blast on the water boating and tubing with the children.

What makes this house unique

Our home is located on a wide creek just seconds from Big water, this makes it ideal for young children who enjoy the water, you can rest easy knowing that there's minimal boat traffic.

Great house for a family

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay. The house had more than enough room to give the kids and adults their own space. We also really enjoyed swimming off the dock. There were some ants on the dock that got into our boat, but we were able to take care of them with some bug spray. Our phone service wasn’t great at the house, but we were able to send texts and make calls outside. The lake was great for cruising. We’d definitely go back!

Nice house but infested with spiders. won't be staying again

  • 2 of 5

It is a nice house but down stairs was infested with spiders when we arrived. we killed about 20 or 30 of them the first night we were there they were under the beds all on the walls and everywhere. More would appear every day in the downstairs bathroom and bedrooms and the owner told us it is to be expected with a lake house which is false cause we have stayed in this lake before and had no issues at all with bugs . The air conditioning didn't work right at all while we were there. We were there for a week and when we arrived we called the owners because the a.c. upstairs wasn't turning on and it was 80 degrees and the unit wouldn't even kick on they made excuses for why it wasn't working and told us they have had multiple people complain about the a.c. finally after two hours of being there the a.c. kicked on but it still didn't run right all week. Then half way through our stay the a.c. return in the upstairs kitchen started leaking water all over the floor so they finally called somebody out to check it and he ended up cutting the a.c. off upstairs till they could put in a new unit which dodnt happen while we were there so we went three nights without any a.c. at all upstairs and pretty much the whole week with it being in the 80s up stairs throughout the day and when the a.c. was out it got up to 94 in the house. The owner saod they wpuld give us 100 a night back that we went wothout a.c. completely but refused to acknoledge the fact that it was 3 to 4 nights without it working completely and when asked about the 3rd night she wouldnt even reply to us. And the ants were ridiculous. We couldn't even leave crickets on our boats tied up to the dock cause within minutes the whole boat would be infested with ants. It was ridiculous. What was supposed to be a nice relaxing week of vacation turned out to be more stressful then staying at home. The owners were nice and the house is nice but it has some issues that need to be dealt with.

Owner's Response: I would like to address the issues as I feel this is a very unfair review. My family and I are extremely house proud and take great care of this property although we are not there full time. My husband and daughter had stayed at the lake the weekend prior to the guests arrival and had encountered no problems. The house is not infested with spiders, we did follow up with our pest control company(we have bi-monthly inspections)and there was no unusual activity detected. I told the guest being located on a wooded lot that you would come across an array of wildlife and a few bugs of sorts. The house is equipped with two air conditioning units, they called the first evening to say it was not cool enough in the house, to which we responded the unit takes a while but it does kick in please let us know if it doesn't. We heard back saying it had kicked in. When the leak became apparent, at which point we immediately called out a technician. When we found out the unit would need to be replaced I called the guest and explained the situation(a new unit was going to be ordered but it would be a couple of days until it could be installed). I offered to reimburse them for the remainder of their stay if they wanted to leave. If they decided to stay, I told her I would give them $100 for the remaining nights they were going to be there. I told her to discuss it with the other people in her group and let me know of her decision. She responded telling me that they were going to stay. As for the ants, it's a common known fact that they are looking for a food source, so if you leave crickets on a boat they are going to find them. Not until after they left did she text with more complaints of ants outside and having to compensate the other guests, asking for more money back. I felt that I had adequately explained on the telephone what we were willing to offer at the time and that they had excepted that offer by staying the full duration of the stay. If you have questions please contact me.

Peaceful and quiet with nice lake views

  • 4 of 5

Really nice house and boat dock. Wonderful deck(s) that look out at the lake. We stayed here with a group of 6 for the week of the Masters and everyone had their own space. Grilled out on the deck and enjoyed the quiet neighborhood. It is a little out of the way so be prepare for food trips as there is not much in the area. Has a boat, but we didn't have time since we were going to Augusta and playing golf.

Good value in renting this property

  • 5 of 5

The house worked well for us, two families with one child and a couple of adult children. Vikki is punctuational and good to work with.

The only negative and we knew it going in.....very little cell service and no wi-fi provided. Notice this property is 20-30 miles from any conveniences so make sure you have gas and ice.

(No ice maker in refrigerator)

Great place to stay!!

  • 5 of 5

The house is beautiful and spacious, the dock is perfect for relaxing, and the area the house is located on the lake is perfect without much traffic at all. We love it here and will definitely be returning :)

lake house review

  • 3 of 5

The house was perfect, but there was some things that could be better. To start off there was WAY too many ants that we had to go out and buy some pesticide. The house also has no wifi, we could not get in touch with any family or friends. I recommend this house but it needs some improvements. Thank you Vicky for allowing us to stay in your lake house.

Owner's Response: I’m sorry that you had a problem with ants during your stay. The home is on a 3 month treatment cycle with Arrow Exterminators so ants or other pests are not usually a problem. The house is on a wooded lakeside lot so ants are somewhat inevitable outside. I plan to increase the treatment frequency to every 6 weeks going forward. Listing does NOT state that home has WiFi.
