About Jody Pinder
My name is Jody Pinder. I am a local lobster fisherman. My wife's name is Tara Pinder. We have 3 children; Kayston, Kerigan, and Kalson.
Jody Pinder purchased this Cottage in 2007
Why Jody Pinder chose Spanish Wells
My wife and I have lived in this area our entire lives and always wanted to own a beach property. This finally became a reality in 2007.
What makes this Cottage unique
The property is located very close to all the shops and restaurants yet is of the beaten path and out of the hustle and bustle of daily life on the Island. Very peaceful and relaxing.

Fantastic Family Vacation!
Loved everything about Summer Sunset...great location and super nice place! Jody and Tara are so hospitable. Also did an awesome excursion with Jody... swam with pigs, swam with turtles, snorkeled, and Sand Dollar Island! We will be back!
Incredible Stay in Spanish Wells
There were so many things that made this trip special for my family and I on our recent visit to Spanish Wells.
Jody and Tara's hospitality made a lasting impression as they communicated with us before arrival, made transportation arrangements and met us at the dock for check-in. From then on we knew they were only a phone call away.
The home is so well appointed on the beach with lots of charming amenities (outdoor shower, deck, BBQ) and beach activities (kayaks, hammock, picnic table) you'll hardly want to go inside. However, the interior is spacious, comfortable, clean and inviting! I can't imagine better accommodations on the island.
We even did a boating excursion and fishing charter with Jody, Tod & Cassie (Captain Kid & Son Charters), which was unbelievable! We visited the Spanish Wells swimming pigs, went shelling on a huge sandbar, swam with manatees (rare and special occurrence), and caught enough fish for dinner.
I would say it was a once-in-a-lifetime trip, but my family and I discussed returning as soon as possible!
Thank you to Jody and everyone who made our time on the island so pleasant, fun, and memorable. We will be back!
3rd time visitors and hopefully many more
This is our 3rd year vacationing with Jody & Tara and the best way to summarize the beauty, home, property and their hospitality is .... amazing, hence our continued patronage to their homes and beautiful island. The owners are nearby if there is anything needed but they value their guests privacy and are always willing to find a way to get what you need if they themselves don't have it. We discuss vacationing other places every year but we always come back to Spanish Wells and Ocean Dreams or Summer Sunset homes.
We have stayed at both Summer Sunset and Ocean Dreams, and both places are outstanding. Everything is there that you could think of needing, and if not just ask and Jody and Tara will do what they can to accommodate. Jody and Tara make the arrival process seamless, as well as providing assistance with departure.
Beautiful house on a perfect beach
Jody and Tara are great hosts and their house is immaculate. It’s well stocked with just about anything you could need. The section of beach on which the house is located is secluded and perfect for young children like ours to play. We couldn’t ask for a better family getaway!
Loved the house and the island.
The house is located right on the north side of the island on the most beautiful fine white sand beach that you have ever seen.
The island is the most beautiful, safest and well maintained Island in the bahamas.
You will find the people to be friendly and helpful.
Free golf cart, 2 kayaks and 1 Paddle Board are included with the rental.
There are great supply stores where you can find anything you need.
The fishing is some of the best in the World. You can bone fish, reef fish or deep sea fish, all are great.
Snorkeling is incredible, with the clearest most beautiful water you have ever seen.
The modern day Bahamas was born in this area when the first European Settlers ship wrecked here around 1640 at a place known as Preachers Cave. Learning about the history of this area is fascinating.
