Very nice renovated house in the heart of Blois in a quiet residential area and 1 minute of the Loire.
This house overlooking the Loire has a beautiful paved, sunny and not overlooked courtyard.
The accommodation consists of a main room with kitchen and fully equipped, a dining room and library lounge, veranda, laundry and toilet.
Two bedrooms upstairs both equipped with a bathroom with large shower and toilet.Ideally locatedIdeally located
The home was centrally located close to the Loire and within a few minutes walk of shopping and restaurants. The home was spacious with a beautiful courtyard in the back. We totally recommend this home for your stay in Blois.
The owner has impeccable taste. Very well decorated and very clean.
The only negative was that the weather was quite warm and there is no air conditioning. Bedrooms upstairs and very warm. Also seating area in house is small. Not a problem if only two people.
The highlight of the home was the courtyard. It has rose bushes and climbing vines to enjoy and a big table with a canape to protect you from the sun. We ate all of our breakfasts out there. Very peaceful.
We arrived at this beautifully appointed property for our five night stay in Blois. Our communication with Elisabeth prior to arrival was excellent and upon arrival she spent time with us to discuss where we were in relation to amenities and also what might be of interest to us. The location is excellent - just a short walk into the centre of town. The separation of bedrooms and ensuites was a real plus and the generous indoor and outdoor area made for a very memorable stay.
We were met by Elisabeth who couldn't have been more helpful with answers to our questions about local restaurants supermarkets , bike hire etc . The apartment was beautiful , with its own walled garden and 2 comfortable bedrooms en suite. We had a great 3 days staying in Blois and are grateful to Elisabeth for letting us rent her lovely home.
Best wishes and thanks Elisabeth !

This house was beyond our expectations. In my 30 years of travel I have never stayed in a more well-appointed, beautifully decorated, top class accommodation. We stayed for 9 wonderful nights from 26 Sept to 5 October 2015. My daughter, my sister and I had 9 days in Blois as a home base for our exploring the Loire.
Right from the very beginning of our first inquiry, through to offering to book us a taxi to the station at our departure, every effort and advice was provided to us with thoughtfulness and kindness. We wanted to cycle parts of the Loire, and Elizabeth sent us hard copy maps and details of the region when we made our booking, six months before travelling. She helped us organise our first night restaurant (we arrived at dinner) and greeted us with generous hospitality. One night after a hard days cycling, we asked where the nearest take-away food could be found and she drove us there !
The house was amazing. Fully renovated with each bedroom having new bathrooms with full showers, big thick towels and spotlessly clean. The fully equipped kitchen was new with quality cookware and dinnerware. The living areas were decorated with a stylish combination of contemporary and antique French furniture, furnishings and artworks. From both bedrooms you could see the Loire River over charming rooftops (Blois rises from the river and has beautiful winding streets looking over the river). The sunny courtyard was magical with access from French doors, period urns and pots and climbers and roses.
I would wholeheartedly recommend this house to anyone. The location was excellent. There was a beautiful park at the end of the street fully overlooking the river with panoramic views of the 18th century 11 span bridge. Green grocer, bakery and cafes 5 mins walk, medieval town centre about 15 mins walk. Local free bus at the end of the street, as well as the main bus routes passing about 7 mins walk. The 17th century Cathedral next to the park with its magnificient bells tolling the hour. The historic centre had many wonderful restaurants, we loved Poivre et Sel and L'annexe, and Le Denis Papin Cafe with its dizzy heights.
We hired bicycles and rode to Chambord and caught the train to Chaumont sur Loire and rode to the chateau. We visited many other chateau in the region by bus, and especially loved Villandry. Our best days included walking around the squares and winding streets of Blois.
We were delighted to stay in such a lovely home for 6 days; it was perfect for our needs. It was our base for cycling to the chateaux of the Loire Valley. It is spacious, well equipped and quiet. We enjoyed spending time on the large patio; we ate several meals there (prepared in the well equipped kitchen!). We were able to walk to the town easily for shopping or restaurants which was good as we didn't have a car. Elisabeth was very helpful and gave us a good orientation to the apartment and the town. She answered our queries promptly. I would not hestitate to recommend this gorgeous house.
