Why Kevin and Deborah Moore chose Sparta
Opportunity spoke to us when this property became available and we could not pass up the beauty and surprisingly private setting. Arguably the best site in the City and certainly one of the most convenient to all activities. The rush of the LaCrosse River over the rapids located on property is all you need to begin relaxing and enjoying your stay. Proximity to Fort McCoy, LaCrosse, Amish and cheese country, and the multiple bike/snowmobile trails assure activities for all. New 2014 water park and pool in town, indoor ice arena, Bridge Path boasting 5 unique pedestrian bridges through the interconnected local park system. Nationally recognized historic downtown district for shopping and dining within 4 blocks of the Mill House. Old time rootbeer stand two blocks away. In short-something for eveyone whether it be business or pleasure-and convenient for all!

We had such a relaxing time staying here. The house has everything you need to enjoy your stay. It was very clean and we most enjoyed sitting down by the river and listening to the water. We also enjoyed campfires and Foosball. The beds were very comfortable and we can't say enough good things about staying here. We rarely go back to the same rental twice, but we will definitely be returning to this property in the future!
Thank you! And we would love to have you any time. So glad you enjoyed our little getaway! Deb and Kevin
Wish we could've stayed longer
Such a nice house. The view of the river and backyard is spectacular, so hopefully we can enjoy it more on another trip where it doesn't pour down rain!
A little oasis
Loved our weekend at the Mill House! Perfect location to explore the bike trails. The yard, bbq grill, fire pit, and the relaxing sound of the river left us feeling refreshed. We brought our fishing poles and even caught a few decent trout! Deb and Kevin have thought of every touch to make this house feel like home. My husband especially appreciated the surprise strawberry rhubarb pie to celebrate his birthday. It was such a great location that we are hoping to visit annually. ❤❤❤ Christine & Greg
The house is small and compact, but had everything we needed for a 2 night stay. I had a question about the tv, texted Deb, and she answered immediately! She has the interesting history of the house and area, things to do and see-she's thought of just about everything. I would definitely stay at The Mill House again!
Lovely home, so close to the trail!
We enjoyed every minute here. Well- cared for property. Comfortable, super-cute. Enjoyed a fire in the fire pit and grilled steaks on the Weber. We would definitely stay here again.
Loved having you! Thank you and come back any time! Deb and Kevin
