Arguably the best site in the City and certainly one of the most convenient to all activities. The rush of the LaCrosse River over the rapids located on property is all you need to begin relaxing and enjoying your stay. Proximity to Fort McCoy, LaCrosse, Amish and cheese country, and the multiple bike/snowmobile trails assure activities for all. Nationally recognized historic downtown district for shopping and dining within 4 blocks of the Mill House. Old time rootbeer stand two blocks away. In short-something for eveyone whether it be business or pleasure-and convenient for all!

What makes this house unique

Well tended cottage

  • 5 of 5

Your cottage was the cleanest rental we have been too yet. We enjoyed the stay but the weather did not cooperate. But you can't control Mother Nature. We would suggest a DVD player so on those rainy days we could have rented movies! Thanks for such a nice little home to make us feel at home. Emma liked walking in the park across the river behind the house.

Relaxing Property

  • 4 of 5

Thoughtful renovation. Owners have taken great care with amenities and decor. This is a comfortable, well stocked home. Loved sitting on the deck listening to the river and the birds in the morning. We spent a very relaxing five days. Enjoyed the bike trail and river boat ride in nearby La Crosse.

Best kept secret!!!!

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time at this quaint little home that has superior quality furnishings!!

The owners have thought of everything we might need and more!!! We enjoyed campfire by the river!! It was more than expected!!

We loved the quaint little home that was filled with superior quality furnishings

and decor!! We had a fun campfire by the river!! We had a storm during the night that woke us up but luckily only a few branches. The home exceeded our expectations! Would recommend this to anyone considering it. Beautiful!! Thanks for everything. Only thing we would have likes is an extra leaf for the kitchen table for all six of us to eat easier and play cards but we made it work!

Owner's Response: Thank you for your lovely review Janey! I wanted to reach out to you and let you know that the reason I have that round table in the kitchen is because it takes two leaves as well! They are hidden under the queen sized bed downstairs....something for next time! Thanks again-Deb and Kevin Moore

Wonderful historic home on beautiful river

  • 5 of 5

Our stay at the Mill House and Sparta blew away our expectations! The Mill House is a great setup for a family vacation. Super clean with all the extras to include a backyard fire pit next to the beautiful La Cross river, foozball table, and washer and dryer. We enjoyed dinner lake side at the American Legion, a 3 hour canoe trip on the La Cross, and walking Sparta's Main Street. Would highly recommend staying here to frends and family.

Thanks for a wonderful time,
