Top Floor Apartment, Private & Quiet with Brilliant Views of Harbor and Bay

Ocean front, very private, two bedroom condominium, situated on the top floor, with beautiful balcony and windows looking out over the brilliant bay, full length of the harbor and the island of Klein Bonaire.

This very private property is situated along a long ocean front boulevard with a ~2 km walk towards the harbor area and direct access to the center of Kralendyk with plentiful excellent restaurants along this scenic walk.

It is however far enough from the center that it is very quiet and private.

Swim, snorkel or scuba dive directly in front of the condominium in the crystal clear carribean waters or in the communal pool in front of the condominium

Fully furnished and equipped for a sophisticated holiday, move in and move out without any fuss.

The Condominium is accessible by elevator or two flights of stairs and is situated on the top floor. It has a modern very nice open plan kitchen, lounge and dining area with views directly out over the whole length of the harbor, to sea, and over the bay.

All kitchen utensils and amenities, are present including a dishwasher and a pantry with a washing machine. There is wifi internet access free of charge and a nice TV available in the lounge.

There are two very nice bedrooms with two double beds. (can be separated into single beds if needed) sleeping a total of 4. Both bedrooms have luxury en suite bathrooms and are fully air-conditioned.

Bonaire is great for swimming, hiking, and cycling, with outstanding windsurfing at Lac Bay, just show up they have all the equipment you would need.

Of course SCUBA diving is second to none on Bonaire and can be done in front of the property. Conveniently Dive Friends Bonaire @YellowSubmarine is just 200 yards along the boulevard from the apartment at Kaya Playa Lechi #24.

The condominium complex is surrounded by a fenced in garden, very nicely maintained, with private parking for cars as well as storage and hanging and rinsing facilities for diving equipment as well as a place to store rented bicycles. (The front door key provides access to these facilities for guests)

(Diving, bike and scooter rental is conveniently available within 200 meters at diving and bike rental centers right on the beachfront)

The whole condominium complex was built in 2008 and has just been freshly repainted and is looking like new, with very nice tropically landscaped gardens.

Step outside the front gate and across the boulevard and you can step directly into the Caribbean. You will greatly enjoy your stay at this great location and wonderful island.

We have stayed here before and loved it so much we came back! Hoping to return again this Autumn! What's NOT to love? The apartment is stylish, spacious and comfortable. It has everything you could wish for to enhance your holiday. The views from the balcony are stunning! Facilities for divers are excellent with deep wash tanks and safe storage. We will be back! Excellent location along the Kraledijk waterfront

Our party of 3 stayed for the week beginning on 27 August 2016. This fourth floor property is modern and well maintained. It occupies an excellent location along the Kraledijk waterfront, close to a local Dive Shop. Sunsets seen from the balcony are outstanding. Rinse tanks, and a locked gear drying area, are available at ground level. Dive gear hangers are not provided. An elevator is available for all floors. This unit has comfortable beds, spacious bathrooms, and a kitchen suitable for meal preparation.

A/C is available only in the bedrooms. The literature directs running the A/C only at night to conserve electricity and avoid additional power charges. This visit was in the hottest time of the year, so the A/C limitations were an issue for us. On windy days, enough breeze was available for reasonable comfort. On a hot day with little breeze, the unit was much too hot for those not acclimated to hot and humid living conditions. Another factor was the mosquitoes on these hot days with little wind. The literature also indicates that when leaving the property, or for sleeping, the balcony doors should be closed and locked to prevent unauthorized entry. This applies even to the upper elevations. There is a gated parking lot with keyed access. The parking spaces are relatively small for rented trucks and the limited space makes navigating the turns a challenge.

We were not expecting any cleaning service during our stay due to information on the web site. On Tuesday a cleaning crew did appear unexpectedly. Although the divers were absent, the unit was occupied at the time of the cleaning visit. When the divers returned, cash was found to be missing from a wallet left in the second bedroom. This was reported to the Property Manager on that day. The representative was very apologetic regarding the theft and indicated that they would follow up with the Cleaning Company owner. No additional communication regarding the theft was received.

The dishwasher malfunctioned during our stay. This was reported to the Property Manager and the response was prompt and effective at restoring the dishwasher to service.

Elegancia 23 is an excellent option for travelers already acclimated to hot and humid living conditions, or perhaps in a cooler time of the year. Take substantial care with personnel possessions on cleaning crew day and don’t forget insect repellent.

Owner's Response: We are extremely concerned that money might have been taken and that our guests would have been inconvenienced in any way. This especially because we know the cleaning service which we use ourselves when we regularly stay in this lovely apartment. I thus checked in with our Rental Agents who organize this midweek cleaning service as part of their excellent support of this property. They responded as follows: "I was surprised since the unit was cleaned by a cleaning company that has been cleaning a lot of our accommodations for years. We know their staff as trustful and hardworking and we never had issues with them. But of course we were taking their message (of our guests) very seriously and we told them that we would talk to the owner of the cleaning company. Which we did, but they denied the theft. The jeans was indeed on the bed and they changed the bedlinen. But they were all there in the same room and they did not take the money." We advise all our guests to close windows etc when they leave the apartment to avoid the potential for petty theft. This may well be overkill, on the upper floor, where our apartment is, but we err on the side of caution. Then unfortunately, this week was reported by our agents as one of the hottest and windless at times. Most apartments in Bonaire, but especially this one with its top floor location are designed with louvered window slats that can be adjusted to let the trade winds blow through the apartments. The bedrooms are both well air-conditioned and offer respite, if at times, on windless days in the hottest days of summer, the temperature is not to a guests liking.

Lovely condo with great location!

My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our stay at this property. The location was perfect for our needs. It was a nice walking distance to town for the restaurants and shops and had a great snorkeling spot just right in front of the unit. The building itself was quiet and we usually had the pool to ourselves. We rented a car to travel throughout the island and found the condo's location was very central. Because we rented a car and not a truck, we were unable to go through the National Park, but otherwise found most sites we visited were no longer than a 20 minute drive away. My only reason for giving a 4 star review instead of a 5 is we felt the kitchen could be a little more stocked and the supply of paper goods was a little low. We only ate out two nights and preferred to cook most evenings. The kitchen had little baking dishes, pans, etc that made some of our cooking a little challenging. We had to run the dishwasher daily, if not twice a day, due to the fact there weren't many dishes and we couldn't find any soap to hand wash the dishes. We also ended up having to buy our own bags for the grocery store since one of the tenants prior to us must have taken them or misplaced them. Otherwise, we would definitely stay at this condo again and really enjoyed our time. We spent the majority of our time on the patio when we were in the condo and not sightseeing. Some of the best sunsets we saw while on the island were from the patio itself versus the beach or elsewhere on the island. The unit is very modern, spacious, and can easily fit at least 4 people comfortably. We will definitely be visiting again. We have already suggested some of our family and friends stay here if they visit Bonaire in the near future!

Exceeded expectations!

John and I are just packing to leave later today. We just wanted to thank you for our stay in your beautiful apartment!

This is our sixth trip to Bonaire and this has been the best because of the accommodation. It's just perfect! So comfortable and well equipped. You have thought of everything! I even enjoy doing the laundry and light housework! It's so easy to keep clean! We have taken good care of everything as if it was our own. I just wish it was! We closed off the end room and used minimal towels etc, washing them regularly so there won't be too much for the girls doing a changeover.

We are certain that we will be booking again same time next year!
