About Lenorr Snyder

My husband works in the area and I am a stay at home mom raising our five children. I enjoy spending time in Custer State Park hiking with my family, riding bike on the Mickelson Trail, and the quiet peacefulness the area has to offer. There is so much to do and see regardless of your interests.

Lenorr Snyder purchased this house in 2014

Why Lenorr Snyder chose Custer

We purchased the property to have a home away from home for our five children. We currently live in the Custer area and wanted a home in town to accommodate school activities. The property has the appeal of being in a country setting but only a few blocks from downtown Custer.

What makes this house unique

The cabin like appeal. The knotty pine and hard wood floors throughout the house made us feel right at home. The yard is also fairly private with a lot of mature trees offering shade. Deer frequent the yard quite often.

Our time in Custer was fantastic. We enjoyed coming back to the cabin for rest and relaxation after long drives in the countryside. The cabin was truly a home away from home - providing us with everything we needed! Thanks so much!

Very nice property

  • 5 of 5

We loved the Home Away From Home! We had the feeling of being out in the wilderness with the hill in back of the house, the deer walking around in the yard and had the convenience of all the amenities of being in town. The house was really nice, very clean and well kept. we liked all the pine wood work and a full kitchen to cook our food. The kids had fun playing in the game room.

Thanks very much and we will be back again next year!

The owners were prompt to respond to any questions that we had and are a very nice family.

My brother and I ( two active senior citizens) fully enjoyed our time at this wonderful home. It is a home in every sense of the word- comfortable and casual- updated yet feeling like a throwback to the 1950's-- a fully equipped kitchen for those meals you want to fix yourself so you can save money to do touristy things- beautiful unpainted knotty pine walls/ ceilings, and hardwood floors-- cable tv in a huge living room that has a fire place and window seat -- 2 huge bedrooms with very comfortable beds -- lots of fluffy white towels and quality linens-- a bath (and 1/2) that sparkles-- in town yet off the beaten path surrounded by hills, tall trees, and deer -- I could go on and on. Custer is a wonderful central location for exploring the Black Hills and it doesn't feel as touristy as some of the towns around. No ,it doesn't have a dishwasher or washer/dryer or tv in the bedrooms but we didn't want to spend $300 a night. You will feel like favorite relatives have especially prepared their vacation cabin for you!

Wonderful hideout

  • 5 of 5

Home Away, for the first time was wonderful! This house was a great alternative to a hotel; it was clean and very welcoming. The house was close enough for us to walk into the shopping areas; grocery store, it was great to be able to cook our own meals. It was close drive's access to all of the nearby sites. All the comforts of home including fresh bed sheets, towels, face clothes etc. were provided. We were meeting our parents there for a short vacation, so it was nice to be able to share the home, rather than be separated by hotel rooms. It was perfect for our daughter to be able to catch up with her grandparents in a relaxed setting. The lot was peaceful with deer running through at dusk and early morning. The extras including all of the visitor pamphlets, board games came in very handy. Thanks for a non-stressed comfortable vacation spot. We would definitely recommend this home.

Perfect home for our family of 5 while visiting the Black Hills.

  • 5 of 5

From the knotty pine paneling to the wood floors, this home made us feel part of the Black Hills. It was roomy enough for our family of five and very comfortable. The deer in the yard simply added to the experience. Thank you for sharing your home.
