Description

Kolibri - T3

The house is separated from the sea by a dirt road that runs along the bay to Point and a wide strip of sand. There are 20 meters between the fence and the sea. In front of the house, the fishing boats are moored. Tartary Beach is the pontoon after 50 meters on the right.

Two double bedrooms, a living room and two porches - one with sea side and the other side tropical garden - promise pleasant moments of relaxation and disorientation.

About the property

Simple and charming Creole house with 2 apartments 20 m from the sea

Located on the peninsula of the Caravel (17 beaches and a large nature reserve) this charming, simple and comfortable home, is separated from the sea by a sand strike and a dirt road that runs along the bay to the tip Bibi.

The fishing boats moored in front of the house swaying in the waves will relieved by the coral reef that protects the bay.

The villa consists of 2 individual houses, each with access to private garden. Each unit has separate verandas.

KOLIBRI: 2 double bedrooms with chests beds, a bathroom-toilet and a kitchen-living room with, in the lounge, two corner-sofa-beds (sleeping as possible for 2 people: mattress 90x180)).

CANE BLUE: Renovated in September 2013. A double bedroom (convertible into a room with 2 single beds) with a large bed chests, and a lounge with a sofa bed for 2 persons, fitted kitchen.

Both apartments are tastefully decorated in a warm atmosphere. If you are looking for authenticity, if you like the houses restored with simplicity, if you appreciate the efforts for the environment (solar water heater), you will feel at home.

Both apartments are fully equipped for the holidays.

Sun loungers, hammocks and chairs are available.

The garden and verandas are organized for the outdoor life of the West Indies: waterside porches overlook Tartary Bay with its islet. Behind the house, the porch opens onto the tropical garden with its flowers hummingbirds, banana trees, and palm trees.

The day you can witness the return of fishing boats.

Each evening, the quiet lapping of waves and night owls conversations give their symphony of the Caribbean nights lulled to sleep.

No car needed (except for the days dedicated to the discovery of Martinique) because everything is within reach: restaurants (the nearest is 100m) and the village shop (supermarket 150m station) ensure the essential.

We can go swimming directly from the house and then rinse in the garden.

It is possible to swim at the house between the boats. The pontoon for lovers of diving is 70 m along the seafront.

Next to the dock, the village beach is cleaned daily. Gentle slope, ideal for children and adults.

There is also a secret wild beach 15 minutes walk ...

When the Caravelle peninsula it offers a total of 17 beaches and a beautiful nature reserve with many discoveries course.

Really lovely little hideaway

  • 5 of 5

We were two couples - it was perfect for us! We really loved the outside porch and garden which we made good use of well into the late evening! There's also really efficient kitchen with a full sized fridge and oven. Basic cookware, pans, plates provided. Michelle, the caretaker and next door neighbor greets you upon arrival and gives you the grand tour. She's readily available through out your stay to help with whatever you may need!

The location is amazing. This was actually the 2nd year for us staying in Tartane. It's right on the beach but also a very short drive to our favorite beach and beach restaurant - Cocao Beach Cafe. It's definitely a less traveled area where you can walk to the Superette if you need wine, eggs, milk and also close to some really great restaurants.

Definitely be sure to bring bug-spray when visiting Martinique, the house is equipped with mosquito netting over the beds but when outside you'll need it! We also brought some towels with us because there were 3 towels provided and you'll need some for the beach!

We'd definitely stay here again!

Krys and Michelle- Super helpful!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed for just a few nights.A short walk away is a beautiful beach! We also hiked (a bit of a ways but doable) to the castle ruins and the nature reserve. There are nearby restaurants and a convenience store. The backyard is fantastic for sitting out and reading! The bathroom is fine but it is separate from the main house- just an fyi if that is important to you. We didn't rent a car but were only here a short time. If you want to see the rest of the island you will need a car. Michelle picked us up at the airport and made calls for us in French which was really helpful! Krys was super responsive ahead of time. Overall, a great stay!

Owner's Response: Thank you for your comment. It was a pleasure to have both of you in the house. We have put the bathroom on the veranda because of the rainy season. it seems more confortable not to add a damp place close to the rooms and keep the appartement dry. We sincerely hope to welcome you again.

Île merveilleuse mais location médiocre

  • 3 of 5

  • 4 of 5

  • 2 of 5

Accueil excellent.
