About the property

2 Bedroom, 1.5 Bath Near Yellowstone National Park And On Emigrant Creek.

Welcome to the counts cabin! We finished it in 2009. This cabin is spacious and sleeps up to four people comfortably. The experience is pure montana in style. The location is right on emigrant creek. In fact, the creek is visible and can be heard from the cabin.

Two bedrooms, a full bathroom, and utility room with toilet, clothes washer, and dryer make the counts cabin a comfortable escape. One bedroom has a king sized bed and a queen sized bed is in the other bedroom.

Wood floors are throughout and the furnishings are very comfortable and unique. There is even a resident fish (sculpture)!

About Bryan

My name is Bryan and I have lived in Montana, in the Paradise Valley, for all of my adult life. When I am not exploring our property on Emigrant Creek with my faithful standard poodle and lovely wife, I am working in the Valley or Yellowstone National Park. I love this area and can give advice on where the best spots are.

Bryan purchased this cabin in 2009

Why Bryan chose Pray

My wife and I built this cabin and finished it in 2009 as a nod to her heritage. The Counts family arrived in this area and homesteaded on Emigrant Creek before moving to various places around Paradise Valley.

What makes this cabin unique

The Counts cabin is one of our favorites because of its privacy and proximity to Emigrant Creek. There is also a fire pit nearby.

Secluded Cabin with all the amenities

  • 5 of 5

Just a fantastic week in this comfortable cabin! Beyond Chico hot springs, this little piece of tranquility is off the beaten path on the Emigrant Creek. Due to rainfall, I'm glad we brought the Yukon and not the Camry because it was a little bumpy in spots, but the resulting peace is totally worth it. We saw a doe and fawn wander past while eating breakfast, otherwise, we enjoyed the sounds of the creek, took a walk along the gravel road and got some great shots of a yellow bellied marmot in his rock pile. The road is very lightly used (saw maybe five vehicles besides ourselves), and pretty overgrown in places, so more of a trail. It's perfect! The cabin itself is modern, clean and very comfortable. It's stocked with plenty of towels, extra blankets, etc. Comfortable beds in both rooms made for a good night sleep after hiking YNP in the day. Plenty of hot water and electric heat to make the stay pleasant. Wi-Fi to keep in contact, which we used for a few minutes in the evening. Our 15 yr old daughter was very impressed with the internet speed. :)

Perhaps the best part of this cabin is the expansive porch facing the creek. We enjoyed relaxing in the slider with a cold beer after getting out of our muddy hiking gear, listening to the creek and breathing in the Montana mountain air. We will cherish these memories!!

Overall, we highly recommend staying here!

Promises Kept

  • 5 of 5

The property was exactly as promised. Clean, comfortable and serene. Easy to find, easy to access. Location next to the stream added a sense isolation which is exactly what we were looking for. The house was well stocked with all the amenities one would need. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would definitely make a return trip.
