Wonderful time at Sunscape
We can’t say enough good things about our stay at Sunscape. This solar-powered house is lovely, comfortable, and immaculately kept, nestled in woods adjoining Acadia National Park. You can walk onto a park carriage road, or to a nearby pond. Bar Harbor is a short drive from the house. Rosemary and Charlie are wonderful hosts, kind and full of helpful information. We hope we will be able to return.

Delightful
The house is immaculately clean, with clear instructions for its use, and comfortably fit our family of 3 (two adults and one toddler). Seal Harbor is the perfect location for access to Acadia and everything the area has to offer, and it’s also close to Bar Harbor, Northeast Harbor and other coastal Mt Desert Island towns. We were also able to catch one of the local free buses from Seal Harbor and Jordan Pond. Carriage trails for biking are also within a short walk, and several hiking paths are accessible from the property as well. Rosemarie and Charlie were exceptional hosts and the location is as social or as secluded as you want it to be. We’ve been coming to Acadia for over a decade and this has been one of this best visits to date.

Why they chose this property

To build a house was a lifetime interest--and we did it. We are sure you will appreciate the thought and effort that went into our endeavor, and find yourself immediately at home! We visited Acadia National Park for years and were fortunate to be able to eventually live here year round. For us to live among mountains, forests and lakes all while being on the ocean is wonderful almost beyond words. We built a home of classic design but with sustainability and comfort as our priorities.
