About this property

Welcome to The Puffin Place, a self contained holiday let in the beautiful East Neuk of Fife. The Puffin Place is conveniently situated close to coastal walks, golfing at many of the fabulous local golf courses and sightseeing in the various coastal villages and popular university town of St Andrews.

The Puffin Place provides warm, cosy accommodation consisting of a double bedroom, bathroom (full size bath with shower over) and a living room / kichen diner with a sofa bed. All bedding, towels and heating are provided at no exra charge.

The Puffin Place sleeps two comfortably, the sofa bed provides accommodation for a further two but is best suited to children although we are happy to take groups of four adults.

East Neuk Delight

The Puffin Place is clean, well equipped and serves well as a base for couples exploring the East Neuk of Fife. The flat is on a quiet street with ample street parking. Most importantly, for us,The Puffin Place allows dogs. The flat's garden is across the road but this wasn't a problem for us. We would not hesitate to return.

Perfect base for exploring the area, not far from a lovely harbour

The Puffin Place (a ground floor flat inside a house) was lovely. The flat has one main bedroom, and the sofa converts to a very comfortable double sofa bed. All the bed linen, towels etc are supplied and the lovely smelling soap in the bathroom is made by the host. The town of St Monans does have a small convenience store if needed. It has everything you need to enjoy a stay in the little town of St Monans, which has a very pretty harbour just minutes from the accommodation, and an easily drivable distance from Anstruther and it’s famous fish and chips restaurant and takeaway, and of course close to the beautiful and historic University town of St Andrews which boasts a tree planted in the University grounds by Mary Queen of Scots. You are also within very easy reach of Scotlands Secret bunker which is fascinating. .

Cosy and homely

The property is spotlessly clean and very well equipped and maintained. Its a beautiful area for visting. Even just for local walks along the coast. The owners were very friendly but left us pretty much to it which was great. We will definitely be visting again.

My wife Linda and I have owned The Puffin Place since 2011. I am a self employed owner of a holistic pet food business selling natural food and treats, mainly for dogs. My wife Linda is a qualified clinical aromatherapist who runs her own business selling quality essential oil based products - soaps, rooms sprays, health products etc.

Why they chose this property

The Puffin Place is an ideal getaway for people looking for quiet accommodation from which to explore the East Neuk of Fife. We are situated on the Fife Coastal Path within fairly easy walking distance of Elie, Pittenweem, Anstruther and Cellardyke.

What makes this property unique

Food lovers will love St. Monans. We have an award winning seafood restaurant (Craig Millar), the East Pier Smokehouse (seasonal) where you can feast on freshly prepared Lobster, Langoustines, Sea Bass etc. or if you prefer to cook for yourself you can buy fresh fish from the local fish merchants including freshy prepared Hot and Cold Smoked Samon. We also have the Ardross Farm shop where you can buy locally grown vegetables and meat.

We live above the property and are readily available if required. We are happy to provide information on local dining, shopping, golfing etc.

Linda is an aromatherapist and can provide guests with essential oil based soaps, room sprays, massage oils etc.
