Large 3 Bed Lower Apt - Blocks From UW-Milwaukee & Lake Michigan! Near Downer!

Apartment is a large 3 bedroom, 1 bathroom lower unit in a duplex. In a quiet milwaukee neighborhood, close to downtown, within blocks of uw-milwaukee and lake michigan. Perfect for visiting uwm or taking a vacation to see all milwaukee has to offer!

All bedrooms have queen beds. Hardwood floors throughout. The kitchen is large and completely updated with stainless steel appliances including a stove, refrigerator with ice maker, dishwasher and microwave.

There is a dog kennel in the third room which is a nice option if you are bringing a dog. Please get your pet approved before booking. We are very clean and the room doesn't smell.

Free internet (wifi).

The apartment has laundry in the basement that is accessible to guests.

The back yard is fenced in and nice for entertaining. (please let us know prior if you plan on using the yard for entertaining. There are tenants in the upstairs unit we want to notify.)

Owner will not be on site during the stay but owner or manager will be available by cell phone should any questions or problems should arise. There will be someone nearby for emergency issues if they occur.

The apartment is located in a quiet neighborhood but is walkable to the restaurants and shops on Downer Ave!

Close to downtown with public transportation nearby and a short cab ride to all milwaukee has to offer.

If you have a car and are going to need parking, please contact us before booking. This area has street parking for residents only. There may be some other options for parking for you.

Property is available for minimum of a 2 night stay. During some holidays, we may have a longer minimum stay required. Please contact owner for questions or details.

This is a part time residence for the owner and she does have two dogs. The property is very clean!

Extra charges may apply if there are more than 4 adults.

There is a $100 charge for international payments.

We do have a rental contract that must be signed and request a copy of ID when booking. Please ask us for a copy of you to review before booking.

This is a non smoking unit.

Dogs may be permitted but we will request some further information about you and your dog(s). Dogs must be cleaned up after.

Please respect our neighbors in regards to your (and your dogs) noise level. Loud noise will not be permitted in this area of town.

Property was excellent and suited all of our needs

Pros:

Wonderful size for 1 to 2 couples or small family. Kitchen was well stocked and includes a dishwasher. Well-behaved pets allowed. Great to have a semi-private backyard. The owners were very responsive and helpful with things like parking. Internet was available and reliable.

Possible Cons:

All the floors were extremely squeaky and loud. This was not an issue for us, but if any of your fellow guests walk around even a little bit while you're sleeping, you'll probably wake up. The TV is antenna based and sometimes spotty. There are plenty of channels, but if you plan on watching a specific event, you may need to make other arrangements.

Such a sweet, charming place!

This place was great--it's old and marvelously creaky, and has just enough charm/character to make you feel at home but not so much that you feel like you're crashing in some stranger's eccentric apartment. :) Great location--we are former MKE residents who were visiting to see friends, and it was a great starting point for our expeditions.

Great Neighborhood!

Very nice accommodations! Plenty of room, very safe neighborhood, close to the beach. Parking on the street was very convenient (just a few very easy hoops to jump through). The Owners were receptive and easy to reach. We'd definitely stay there again.

Great place, great location!

We really liked this place. It was centrally located and a comfortable home. I found the advertising of it to be very inaccurate - it was better than described. It says it's an apartment, but really it's a triplex in a residential area. Beautiful homes on a quiet street. Also, all the warnings about having to register for parking made us worry that the streets would be packed with cars. There was no problem parking right in front of the house. We were there in July, so maybe it is different during the school year with UW so close. Great front porch, beautiful hardwood, an old home - so be prepared that heating and cooling are uneven, at best. But overall, a great place. We enjoyed.

Leafy suburban base in Milwaukee

This is a charming, creaky old house in a traditional Milwaukee neighborhood close to the Lake and Lake Park. It was great for our family of five, although it could do with another bathroom, but we coped easily for 4 days without an issue. It is better as a base for exploring Milwaukee and the northern suburbs, than it is an entertainment venue, but is quite comfortable. Amanda was very helpful with all the logistics. It's an easy solution for Milwaukee.

Great location, comfortable beds!

We stayed at this property during a long weekend. There were four of us and the house was perfect for a group of our size. We were within a short drive to all of the great parts of town and even enjoyed walks through the neighborhood. We loved the Milwaukee Public Market and the unique shops and restaurants surrounding the area (5 minute drive). Tammy and Amanda were easy to work with, they were prompt and accurate in their responses - especially in assisting with the complicated Milwaukee street parking rules. Some of the blankets and bedding could use some updating, but other than that, the house was extremely comfortable and cozy!
