Safe, quiet, great neighborhood; 1920’s renovated architecturally beautiful home; Apartment is furnished with 3 high quality queen beds as well as a quality twin air mattresses if needed, quality linens, down comforter, towels, dishes, stainless steel cookware, furnishings are comfortable largely French antiques; Garden landscaped with ginger, palms, camellia, night-blooming jasmine, sweet olive, wisteria, herbs, potted plants; Responsible landlord who addresses issues/fixes rare problems immediately; new electrical, plumbing, appliances, paint, bathrooms, etc.

Home is the half of a historic renovated double shotgun: the other side has a single quiet full-time tenant/teacher.

Lovely furnishings, enchanting backyard

We loved the home and would highly recommend it. Our family enjoyed walking each day to the bayou and running in City Park. There is a charming late night cafe in City Park with fresh beignets, and we ate at the French bistro, Cafe Degas, down the street twice. The French Quarter was close, though we loved the quaint neighborhood so much we spent more time around the home than expected. We cooked one night and were surprised to find the kitchen so nicely stocked. Mya was very accessible and easy to work with. We were not sure how to work the Nest thermostat and she quickly walked us through (we are not very technical). The beds were extremely comfortable, and the furnishings and antiques were lovely and made you feel like you were enjoying a different time. The backyard was especially nice to enjoy after walking during day. We didn't want to leave.

Great stay in New Orleans!

We had a wonderful stay in New Orleans, and the location of this property was a big part of it. The property was clean, quiet, spacious, and comfortable- everything we were hoping for. It was a quick walk/drive to everything we did in New Orleans. The location close to a neighborhood grocery store, coffee shops, a few neighborhood restaurants/bars was perfect. The owner, Mya, was fantastic- very friendly, helpful, and easy to reach. She even had cheese and fruit for us waiting at our arrival! The trip was smooth and I would encourage any traveler to make this property home base for their stay.
