Great location, clean and on ground level

My girlfriend and I haf a great stay here. It was inside a courtyard on the first level, so no stairs to climb with suitcases. Alain was there to meet us, even though we were later than expected. It was easy to stay in touch with him, by text, throughout our stay. He addressed all our questions/concerns and arranged our taxi back to the train station. He even sent me a link of things to see and do after I booked this apartment. The sofa bed was very comfortable and easy to open and close. The location was superb. Lots of restaurants and stores close by. You will enjoy your stay here, it is all good!

Fantastic location!

We loved our stay in Bordeaux. It is in the heart of the city and everything Bordeaux has to offer is minutes away. We did find the apartment a little small but got used to it. One recommendation we have is to add some hooks in the bedroom and maybe by the door to hang your coat etc. Loved the boulangerie called La Fabrique Pain et Bricoles and went there almost every day. Don't miss going there! Also found a great wine shop called Cousin et Compagnie. There are so many wine shops in Bordeaux so it is hard to decide which one to go to. They were very helpful and not overpriced.

Clean, compact and ideal for a city break

Lovely apartment in a great location.

We spent 4 days in Alain's comfortable apartment. It is located in an historic building in the center of the old city, about 100 feet away from one of the best boulangeries in Bordeaux and 150 feet away from Deruelle fromagerie, which probably is the city's best. Several outstanding restaurants (including upscale and wonderful Le Davoli) are very close at hand, and all of Bordeaux's historic city is within easy walking distance. Alain is a cooperative and sympathetic proprietor. I can't imagine a more satisfactory place to stay in Bordeaux.

Quiet,secure apartment in wonderful location

This was a beautifully appointed apartment located in a secure building in the historical part of Bordeaux. Alain was there to meet us and was a very friendly and helpful host. We understood each other very well despite our non existent French and his limited English. The apartment was very clean and comfortable with everything we needed. The bed was very comfortable. The location was excellent, close to shops, restaurants, transport, the river and all the wonderful historical parts of Bordeaux. A beautiful city and a great experience using VRBO

A Nice Apartment in a Terrific Location

We had a wonderful time in Bordeaux last week, our first visit to the city. This apartment is on a very quiet street, and yet is just steps away from a hub of activity--shops, restaurants and culture. Everything is as advertised and made for a wonderful base for our trip. Driving in Bordeaux is very challenging, and Alain even had to "rescue" us as we got lost trying to make our way to his apartment. If you do not need a car in Bordeaux, don't take one! The tram is wonderful and goes everywhere. If you do need a car, there is a parking garage a block from the apartment.

I highly recommend this apartment and would stay there again if we were in the city. The only improvement I can imagine would be a clothes dryer, or a combination washer/dryer as we've had in other French apartments. It took a very long time for clothing to dry on the rack that was provided. That's a very small negative though, among many positives. A great apartment and a very accommodating and kind landlord!
