About this property

Charming Cottage Between The Beaches

Light, bright and airy craftsman-style beach house in pristine condition located on 'Nubble' peninsula. Open-concept main floor includes living room, fully stocked kitchen with large island and dining area opening onto an expansive back deck. Also, two full bedrooms and two bathrooms as well as a laundry room all on the main floor. The large upstairs loft
bedroom has 2 twin beds, a vaulted beadboard ceiling, ceiling fan and two windows circulating the ocean breezes. There is a small backyard, a lovely perennial garden and parking for two cars. There are fans, but no air conditioning in the house.

The property is located on a quiet, private road just behind the very popular Dunne’s ice cream stand and a 5 minute walk to the famous Nubble Lighthouse and Sohier park. Both Long and Short Sands beaches are a 15 minute walk from the house.

Great Cottage
This cottage was absolutely adorable! We were impressed as soon as we stepped in the door, open floor plan, beautifully decorated, and super clean. The loft area was really cool and great for the kids. It’s not walking distance to any of the beaches however there is plenty of parking in York for beach days. We saw a baby and mother deer in the backyard on three separate occasions so that was a bonus!

I have been spending summers in York since I was a young child. My family and I built this beach house about 15 years ago after having rented for many years. While we love being there ourselves, we are unable to spend the whole summer and therefore rent just a few, select weeks per summer.
