In a pastoral setting with beautiful views of Vermont's Green Mountains, this country home is set on 3 private acres. It's the perfect place to kick back and relax. At the same time, it’s perfectly situated between Stowe Mountain Resort (10 minutes) and Stowe Village (5 minutes).

There are also many restaurants, the Stowe Country Club & Golf Course, the award-winning Spa at Stoweflake, access to Stowe's beautiful 5.3 mile Recreation Path, and Stowe Farmer’s Market, all less than ONE mile away (and many, many more just beyond that). The legendary Alchemist Brewery is just 1/4 mile away! And no need to pack up bikes and drive to the recreation path – it is accessible from quiet roads right from the home. Walk, bike or cross-country ski the rec path right into Stowe Village or along the river to the cow and horse pastures.

The annual Stoweflake Balloon Festival takes place right next door, typically with 4 Balloon launches throughout the weekend (Fri-Sun). Take a walk over and enjoy the festivities or take it all in from the yard or deck.

For those looking for overflow space, check out our friends at the Timberholm Inn, which is located right next door.

While the home is on 3 acres and surrounded by trees, it is within a residential area with young families and the Timberholm Inn nearby. Please be respectful of our neighbors in regards to noise. Please observe quiet hours between 10:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. We want you to enjoy your stay, though please do so in a way that does not disturb the peaceful enjoyment of our neighbors.

We are a family of 5 from New Jersey. Ralph & I first started enjoying the Stowe/Waterbury area almost 20 years ago when we got engaged. I’m a proud UVM grad & never fell out of love with this part of Vermont. And when I told Ralph about a B&B I’d always wanted to visit in Waterbury on Rt 100, he knew exactly how he wanted to propose. Since then we’ve come back many, many times to celebrate anniversaries, reunions & share the fun with our 3 kids. The summer is our favorite time up here, but of course no place is better in winter than Stowe.

Why they chose this property

When we decided to take the property plunge, we knew exactly where we wanted to be in Stowe, and fortunately, we found our home! We are within easy biking distance to the Stowe Rec Path, a few minutes to the mountain, a few minutes to Stowe Village, several restaurants & shops within 1 mile, but still an idyllic, peaceful location.

What makes this property unique

Stoweflake Balloon Festival occurs literally just beyond our backyard. See the photo! And there aren't really any other properties in Stowe that have this combination of space, # of bedrooms, convenience to everything (this is the heart of Stowe), and privacy. You'll feel like you are away from it all, but it's all right there.
