About Shari Seagren
We are Thom and Shari, we have lived in Grand Junction for about 20 years. We have raised our four children here in the Grand Valley. We have enjoyed living in Colorado where we have hiked, skied and built our lives. We love to travel and hope we have instilled in our children the possibilities that travel can offer. We are the founders of Children With Hope, a non-profit organization that has established a Children's Home in Eldoret Kenya. We welcome you to Grand Junction and hope we can be of help to make your stay enjoyable.

Why Shari Seagren chose Grand Junction
Location, location, location! Within 5 or 6 blocks of Main Street Grand Junction, you can walk or ride one of the cruiser bikes we have for your use at the house. Downtown Grand Junction is a great place to shop, relax, and enjoy one of dozens of restaurants all within walking distance from the Chipeta house.
What makes this Cottage unique
When we saw this beautifully renovated house built in 1900 we knew it was a special home. The unique turn-of-the century features remain untouched, but the modern conveniences that you'd hope for are present as well. From cable TV, to wireless Internet, the Chipeta House is a wonderful blend of a cottage 'get-away' and a great location in downtown Grand Junction where there are so many options.

Clean, well-provisioned, and quiet
The Chipeta House suited our needs perfectly. The owners provide everything one could need and the location is quite convenient. We especially enjoyed using the bicycles to explore the city. Thanks to Shari and Tom for making it a wonderful experience!
Month away in Grand Junction
The house was the perfect size for two. However, due to the age of the house the uneven floors presented a slight problem., especially for us seniors. Even though there was a screened porch, which was one of the reasons we chose the property the only seating was a small settee which was tired and in need of new cushions. We were glad we had a folding chair to use. Also it is need of more linens especially for a month stay.
Sorry to hear you were not 100% pleased with our home and your stay.
As far as the linens, we thought two sets of sheets per room was sufficient for any stay as we do have the washer and dryer on site.
We will consider the other feedback to make sure things are comfortable for all of our future guests.
Thank you for your input
Chapeta House family trip
We really loved our stay at the Chapeta House in Grand Junction!! Very cute home with everything that we needed! It was in a great location for us to enjoy the area. Sherri was very responsive to my questions! We would definitely stay here again.
Wonderful home in a great location.
This home was perfect for our family. Very clean and perfect size for a family of 4. Our kids loved the book and game selection. Located close enough to walk to town. Quiet street as well. Would definitely recommend.
This place was great! Close to campus and downtown, it allowed us great dining options close to the house for relaxing after orientation and registration! Beautifully decorated home with comfortable and homey furnishings. Definitely will book again when visiting our child at college.
Wonderful place in a great location.
This is a totally charming bungalow. We could not have been more pleased. Kitchen was great and had basic necessities supplied for us. I am somewhat particular about mattresses and the front bedroom had a fairly firm mattress that was totally comfortable for my weeks stay. Love that there is a full sized couch and a love seat. Allowed my sister and I to stretch out as we enjoyed movies each night. Wonderful stay.
