Welcome to your warm, comfortable and fully furnished home in the heart of Queen Creek and the San Tan Valley. Relax on the luxurious back patio with a glass of wine or enjoy a grilled steak or chicken dinner from the gas grill. Walk the friendly neighborhood, or explore the local restaurants with their Southwest fare or non-stop shopping at the Queen Creek Market Place, San Tan Village, and Superstition Springs Mall all a short 15-30 minute drive from our Arizona home.

Our home has three bedrooms, two with comfortable queen size beds and ample closet space for your belongings. The master bedroom and bathroom have a king size bed, convenient closet with extra storage and luggage racks, double vanity, soaking tub and separate shower. The forth bedroom is a den & sitting room with a convenient desk and internet connected computer within the master bedroom suite.

The kitchen has all the necessities for eating in! Keurig coffee maker, toaster, utensils, pots & pans, dishes, etc. Even wine glasses for a night watching the 45' HD television or Blu-Ray player, internet apps, including Netflix, Pandora, Vudu and more! The dining area is adjacent to the kitchen and leads to the family room and covered patio with barbecue a 5 burner Stainless Steel Grill.

You can conveniently park your car in the attached garage. A door opener is also available for your use. Upon arrival at your home away from home a welcome book will be available with additional information about the home, location and maps for finding your way around the desert beauty of the San Tan Valley.

The many restaurants, shops and parks are within a short driving distance. There are shopping plazas nearby including a variety of other service providers (automotive, hardware, medical, dental, ect) and Wal-Mart less than a mile away. Activities such as hiking or horseback riding in the San Tan Mountain Regional Park or a round of golf are all within minutes of our home. Other fun spots within a few miles include the Olive Mill, the Schnepf Farms fresh foods farmers market or the historic Casa Grande Ruins.

About Douglas Hanon and Virginia Reed

Virginia & I live full time in Juneau, Alaska, and enjoy 3 or 4 months of "get-away-time" at our San Tan Valley Home. Alaskans often seek out the warmer climates for reality checks and vacation runaways. Virginia was born in Juneau and I hail from the Portland, Oregon area, although because of my father's 28 year career in the Air Force I've called Honolulu HI, San Antonio, TX, Charleston, SC, and Tacoma, WA, home as well.

In 1971 I traveled to Juneau, Alaska to visit friends for what started as a months visit and turned into a 46 year immersion into the Alaskan way of life. . .and along the way I found Virginia, the love of my life.

Both of us are retired from the State of Alaska, Virginia retired in December 1999, under an early retirement program and I retired in September 2008.

We both love to travel and visit Puerto Vallarta or Cabo San Lucas, MX, at least 2 or 3 times a year. We also love to spend time in Arizona where we both have family and friends. Having our home in the San Tan Valley also allows us to bring family and friends down to experience the wonderful Arizona weather, sights, and culture. Our children and grandchildren love the times they have spent here with us.

Why Douglas Hanon and Virginia Reed chose Skyline Ranch

Virginia & I have always loved the warm weather and we both have a special fondness for exploring new places. As Alaskans, the outdoors play a big role in our lives whether it's salmon or halibut fishing during the spring and summer or skiing at Juneau's Eaglecrest ski area in the winter. Arizona holds the same lure for us with spectacular outdoor recreation and natural wonders and historic archaeological sites to explore. The Grand Canyon, Casa Grande Ruins, the ancient ruins in Globe, and hundreds of other incredible historical sites and geography to wow even the most stoic visitor. It's all here and after almost 5 years we're still only just getting started exploring the Arizonan Outback.

What makes this house unique

Our San Tan Valley Home was a must have from the very beginning. The home was 1 of 4 model homes for the Phase II expansion of the Skyline Ranch subdivision. It had premium features including tile floors, finished backyard patio with French Doors exiting from the family room, and a small and intimate backyard with no homes on the back or sides with a view into our backyard. Directly out the front door of the house and across the street is a nearly 2 acre grass park with a playground for family and children of the neighborhood.

Shopping is easy too with a Walmart grocery & department store less than 1 mile away. Within 5 miles is a Safeway, a Fry's (Krogers) Grocery Store, the Queen Creek Market Place Shopping Mall, a 14 theatre Hawkins Theatre, and a Denny's, Olive Garden, McDonalds, Burger King, Taco Bell, and numerous other restaurants and fast food establishments. My favorite restaurant is the San Tan Flats Steakhouse located just 3 miles down the Hunt Hwy at the intersection with South Ellsworth Road. . .awesome Ribeye and Flat Iron Steaks, including outdoor live music several nights of the week.

Beautiful home, with all the amenities of u'r own home. Very clean, nicely decorated & up to date.

Spent 7 nights in the home, very spacious, especially the master suite, which also had a computer/office room that was available for use. The beds were very comfortable. Nice covered backyard patio with BBQ, which we used & entertained family that lived in the same neighborhood one evening. Great neighbors. Kitchen w/ everything u need. Nice park directly across the street. We came back to the home @ 10pm one night exausted after a long 2 day trip to Sedona/Grand Canyon/Jerome and all said "We're home". Overall would definately rent again. Didn't want to leave. Thanks for allowing us into u'r home.

Great property

This is a lovely home in a great area. We stayed here awaiting our new home to close. Directly across the street is a park which was wonderful for my son. Great as well for business travel as there is an office. Overall I highly recommend.

We stayed at the lovely rental in San Tan Valley January 2016. Very well supplied-even a Keurig! Nice parks to walk our little dog Bandit. Many books and DVDs available in rental. Stores a mile away, Wal-Mart, Asian Buffet, Burger King, Star Bucks, nail salon. San Tan Flats Steakhouse a must place to go.(great food and live music) We trailered our Honda trike and enjoyed many warm rides. Its a nice comfy house and neighbors are friendly.(Mia and Bandit are pals!)

San Tan Living

We were very pleased with the rental home and the convenience to San Tan Valley. It was a single floor home in a quiet neighborhood. We were in the process of buying a new home in a Taylor Morrison community and had a list of pre-move-in tasks to complete before closing on the new home. The rental home provided us with very nice accommodations while we transitioned from Kansas to Arizona. Having a wifi connection to the internet was very helpful.

Single floor home with plenty of room for everyone.

A very nice home in far southeast suburbs of Phoenix. Easy access to the 202 loop and US 60 highway to allow you to access the metro easily. The home is located in a quiet neighborhood. My friends and I stayed in this location 3 1/2 years ago when it was pretty new. Since then, they have built up around it making this a great place to stay. Right around the corner from a Quik Trip and WalMart. The house is located only 15 minutes away from Queen Creek business district which gives you more options for shopping and eating. The master bedroom is spacious and very open to the bathroom area. The other 2 bedrooms are decent sized and both are located very close to the 2nd bathroom. The 2 living room areas are both rather large with very comfortable furniture. The patio area is very nice. Since we visited in early September, was a little warm to spend time out there. The 3 of us were there for a week together and were able to move about any time of day without disturbing anyone else who might be sleeping in one of the bedrooms. You couldn't ask for a nicer house to relax in during a vacation. When we return to the Phoenix metro, we will definitely see if this house is available again.
