About the property

Cabin, 3 Bedrooms + Large Lodge Room, 2.5 Baths, (Sleeps a max of 9)

Welcome to Hickory Lodge! Come on by, there is room to sleep a maximum of 9! If you want to kick back and enjoy the beautiful scenery of Broken Bow/Beaver's Bend then look no farther. This custom built cabin, nestled into the pine and hickory forest, was built to enjoy the stunning scenery and abundant wildlife. The cabin features 3 bedrooms and 2.5 baths, with a large open vaulted living/lodge area designed for entertaining, and family/group gathering. This 1,800 square foot cabin was built with hardwood hickory, stained concrete and warm tile floors. The interior is tempered with central heat and air. The outside features a wrap around porch/deck spanning the length of the cabin, of which all is covered. The wrap around porch is perfect for calm mornings that brag cool temperatures, and neat amenities that invite you to relax and enjoy the view.

If you own a boat or RV and plan on utilizing it on the lake or in the park, there is an included parking area on the North side of the pull through drive that will suffice for all your storage needs. The North drive makes it easy to back into and out of the designated parking area. No need to park on the road, there is plenty of room for your RV/boat, as well as multiple cars.

Two of the Hickory Lodge bedrooms feature queen size beds, while the third bedroom contains a pair of Aspen Log bunk beds. All in all, Hickory Lodge will sleep 8 comfortably, with a maximum of 10; including the futon on the landing! One bathroom has a Tub/Shower combo, while the Master Bath boasts a large tiled walk in shower. Both showers were built with custom tile.

Hickory Lodge makes it easy for vacationers to fix their family's meal. The kitchen is fully equipped with a microwave, refrigerator, oven, stovetop, dishwasher, and disposal. Don't worry about lugging your dirty clothes around since there is a washer/dryer in the Utility Room.

Entertainment is what the Hickory Lodge is all about! There are multiple dining areas, including an outdoor dining table. If you want to grill, feel free with the charcoal grill located by the firepit (charcoal not included). Spend a little time relaxing in the evenings by the fire pit, or just hang out on the porch with your family.

One of the great parts of Hickory Lodge is it proximity to the lake and trout fishing habitat, as both are 2.5-3 miles away. Go spend the day out on the lake, or pick up your fishing rod and try your luck on the river. The Lower Mountain Fork River is known as one of two year round cold water fisheries in the state of Oklahoma. It has been featured on Trout Unlimited's 'The Rise' television show, and has gained national recognition as a wonderful trout stream. Just take the time and check out the Evening Hole (restored by Trout Unlimited and the Lower Mountain Fork River Foundation) and you will see what I am talking about. Take the family horseback riding, or just jump in a tube or canoe and take a float down the river. There are too many things to do here!

If you are a serious fly fisherman, you can bring your own fly tying table. While your family and friends talk in the lodge room, you can tie up and craft your own flies for the next days outing. There are countless activities to enjoy here in Broken Bow/Beaver's Bend, so come and let Hickory Lodge start your vacation on the right step.

About Aaron Brister

We knew about the beauty of the Broken Bow and Beavers Bend area, mainly because our family is from Southeast Oklahoma . We wanted to build a cabin that our whole family could use to enjoy all the sites and activities of the lake, mountains, and river. Our children and family are going to be able to enjoy this for many years to come. It is a great place to relax and enjoy cool mornings on the porch, or fish on a beautiful trout habitat full of rainbow and brown trout. If hiking, swimming, or biking are things you enjoy, then you are at the right place here at Hickory Lodge. Antique shops are close, as well as a winery. We have enjoyed each trip we have made to Hickory Lodge and look forward to spending more time at this beautiful property. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do. Please contact us if you need anything, as we want you to have a great time at Hickory Lodge.

Why Aaron Brister chose Oklahoma

Our whole family enjoys the outdoors. The Broken Bow/Beaver's Bend area has so much to offer. Each time we visit, new activities seem to appear. The wildlife, mountains, lake and river all have something to offer. Small children will love the park, horseback riding, water activities and train rides in the forest of the state and national park.

What makes this cabin unique

We enjoy the sounds of the area, early in the morning and late in the day. Sitting by the fire-pit, and having a cup of coffee on the large patio can be the best part of our trips. When we want to enjoy the fishing, hiking, or other lake activities, they are just a few minutes away. Hickory Lodge is equipped to provide a very comfortable stay.

We had a great time. Beautiful cabin and lake. Great burger joint with bar in walking distance

Property is very nice and well stocked. Highly recommend this place. We brought our boat and rented a covered slip at the marina which is about 19 mins to the boat ramp. Nice not having to load and unload each day. Could probably use a tv in master suite, but we were so tired after being on the boat all day not huge deal.
