The house is absolutely everything the pictures show and more! We were there for 4 days with 14 adults and we had an awesome stay! We spent one day tourimg wineries and we also spent an afternoon at the Belhurst castle for there brunch. The remainder of the time we spent just hanging at the house. The game room is a large enough area to just hang and enjoy the pool table and shuffle boards. The fire pit area is a great place to enjoy the sunset! They were beautiful! Craig the owner was wonderful with suggestions of wineries and always available when we had a questuon or two. I will definitely rent the property again in the future.

Great Multi-Family Vacation Home

  • 4 of 5

Our families had a beautiful vacation in this home. The house is set up to allow privacy and space when needed, had plenty of bedrooms and sleeping spaces, had a large fire pit with breathtaking views of the lake, a large kitchen for cooking for many people, and plenty of outside seating spaces to relax in.

We loved the dock area for hanging out, boating, fishing and swimming. The owner, who was easily reachable, left a kayak that he generously let us use. The water is clear and warm right off the dock. The kids had a blast.

Be cautious when bringing young children to the property. Without constant supervision, this yard and set up is VERY dangerous, with many stairs, steep inclines, and drop offs at the edge of the yard. There is a broken spindle on the fence next to the tram that would allow a child to slip through if pressed on.

Although we had a great time, we were disappointed in the cleanliness of the house for the money we spent. Lots of dust on headboards and behind and under beds. The master porch, although completely screened in, had tons of dust, dead bugs and cobwebs all over it. Clean dishes in the cupboard had food and grease stuck on them. The coffee pot was full of old grounds and badly stained. The exterior (porches, fire pit area) was loaded in dead bugs, dried leaves and dirt. We understand its a very wooded property, but for the money we spent we would have appreciated these areas being clean and swept upon our arrival. With some attention to detail this property would be the ultimate family gathering space.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your comments about my home. I appreciate the feedback. I will tend to the broken spindle today. The dishwasher has been serviced as a result of your comments and I have shared your review with the cleaning crew. Unfortunately, the owners of a property can't always see everything, especially on a property this size, 7200'sq and six acres of land. That is why I give out my cell phone number to every guest and encourage phone calls for any problems or inconveniences. I'm glad you enjoyed your stay.

Beautiful property, however a couple of items to note

  • 4 of 5

- Beautiful, spacious home with large bedrooms to keep your stuff in

- Nicely tiered, landscaped grounds with several outdoor lounge areas and terrific views

- Home and kitchen was well equipped, altho fridge storage was small for 15 people; plan to bring coolers for extra food or multiple trips into town for groceries

- Tram to the dock and boathouse a nice convenience

- Not an ideal property for small children or the elderly- 200+ steep steps to water.

- Driveway is 1/2 mile long with steep switchbacks - couldn't bring vehicle with trailer full of SUP's and kayaks down to the house; had to throw toys in back of pick up truck in a couple of trips

Amazing property accommodated our large group

  • 5 of 5

We were very fortunate to find this amazing property! Friends since high school, we celebrated our 50th birthdays together and had an absolutely wonderful time. The house is very accommodating and had plenty of room for the 11 of us. We thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor kitchen with plenty of seating, the fire pit, and access to the lake for swimming or boating. There is access by both tram and steps, if you are counting like me. The owner greeted us upon arrival and showed us around to ensure our stay was nothing less than fabulous. He also made himself available for questions or concerns. We did have an issue with low water pressure, but the owner ensured that this was fixed, and it did not hamper our stay. We would highly recommend this property for a large group, and are already thinking about returning for another visit.

Awesome property

  • 5 of 5

This was the perfect spot for our recent family reunion. The house is huge, with plenty of room for all of our family members. And the amenities were amazing: fire pit, outdoor Jacuzzi, outdoor kitchen, boat house, etc., etc., etc. Our favorite time of day was sunset, when the views of Canandaigua lake were spectacular.

The house was in pristine condition, very well stocked, and everything was in good working order. And when we did run into a few questions, the owner Craig responded immediately and made sure we had everything we needed for a perfect stay.

We highly recommend this property to anyone looking for an amazing place to house a large group.
