Beautiful central apartment

Beautiful and well appointed apartment with a lovely view of Hotel de Ville and elevator. Very central with metro stop at its doorstep and easy to walk the shops and restaurants of Marais. Would definitely stay again.

Large, quiet, very well appointed apartment perfectly located in The Marais

This elegant apartment with unobstructed views over the Hôtel de Ville is in a perfect position for sightseeing in Paris with the Metro at the doorstep and the best the Marais has to offer within an easy stroll. Jean-Michel was attentive from the start and completing the booking was as easy and quick as the welcome was warm and helpful on our arrival. Detailed written instructions covering everything in the apartment were complimented by a guide to local shops, sights and eateries. The apartment boasts double glazing and shutters plus blinds that gave a 5 start hotel feel allowing undisturbed sleep. Whilst the air conditioner was quiet and easily coped with the 36*C plus heatwave in full blast when we arrived, the full-size dishwasher remained unused such is the great selection of excellent places to eat nearby. The washer and separate dryer in the large bathroom were a bonus and the fridge more than large enough. Linens, towels and crockery/glassware were all as-new and high standard. Any concerns we had through the stay were actioned rapidly and helpfully by Jean-Michel who proved the perfect host. This apartment is a hard to beat combination of Parisian style, comfort and convenience. And the view from the two sets of full height windows is better than the pictures - magnificent!

Living in style in Paris

We spent two and a half weeks during mid-summer in the very stylish Printemps apartment (I’ve been tardy in not writing our review until now). Its position in the heart of Paris, and the view across to the Hotel de Ville with the Notre Dame in the distance are exceptional. The apartment is roomy thanks to the open plan layout of the living room and bedroom. Plentiful storage space allowed us to unpack and settle in for our stay. Air conditioning in a Paris apartment was a welcome rarity. We love preparing meals from local produce and with wonderful food streets like Rue Montorgueil only a 10-minute walk away we put the small, but well-equipped kitchen to good use. We had La Plage at our feet, with a free concert the weekend we arrived, followed by volleyball courts and buskers aplenty on the Place de l’ Hôtel de Ville across the road. Most of the time we enjoyed the sights and sounds of Paris outside with the windows open and although I had been a little concerned about noise levels before booking, the double glazing is very effective and we had no trouble sleeping. Jean-Michel and Nicole were warm and welcoming hosts – booking and arriving were easy and we wanted for nothing during our stay. We also used the car service Jean-Michel recommended to and from the airport and both trips were very comfortable and trouble-free. We have been travelling to France for 30 years, this was our eighth visit to Paris and by far the best accommodation we’ve ever had. Staying in this apartment was a joy and a privilege and we loved coming ‘home’ to it each day. We hope to stay again another time.

Amazing Choice

10 days in the apartment of Jean-Michel Picq was the highlight of our Paris experience. The very authentic french decor including the creaky parquetry floors and the gorgeous chandeliers in the lounge, dining and bed area created the ambience we sought for our Paris holiday. Unsurpassed views across the Hotel de Ville to Notre Dame could be seen through the shuttered french doors and a modern kitchen and bath area provided the practical necessities. To top it all off, the Picqs are a delightful and helpful couple to deal with. Loved the information booklet that provided an answer to every query we had.
