Our motto is "Key West is the Best!" We have lived here 21years and can't imagine being anywhere else. We came for fun week-ends when we lived in the upper keys on our sailboat. After a cruise to St. Thomas, VI that lasted three years we returned to Key West and have been here ever since. We love to welcome tourists and tell them all about the fun things to do in our southern most town in the USA. We decided the next step in welcoming visitors was to give them a great place to stay while on vacation. "Kilderkin" means a place where like-minded folks can stay and enjoy a relaxed and fun atmosphere. The "Frank & Ruth Show" will get you started on the best memories ever.

We have always loved and lived in Old Town Key West, and wanted to share it with visitors from all over the globe. The private Garden and private deck completes the ambiance of this great Gated property. It is quiet yet close to the hustle and bustle of Duval Street. So you can shop and sight see all day, yet come home to a glass of wine on the deck and a good nights sleep away from the bars and revelers .
The amenities are unending: bikes for rent near by; electric grille on the deck,(by request); toaster oven, blender; etc. If you need something you don't see, just ask us, we are right on property. The corner store for quickie items is just across the street. Fausto's market has two locations close by. You don't need a car but if you bring one there is on street parking.
Owner Review: Never Rent to James D. III or son Jed. Total disrespect for my property: drugs, broken items not acknowledged...then questioned discounted security refund. Brought more people than allowed, etc. etc. Owners can be scammed too.
Frank and Ruth were great hosts. They were always available if we needed anything, or for conversation or directions. They were not intrusive at all if we desired our privacy. Truly nice and fun people. - the house is positioned a short walk from everything. A more ambitious walk is sometimes required. A car is not necessary. The apartment was a little dated, but very clean and comfortable. Couldn't ask for better weather. We totally enjoyed our stay.
This unit is in excellent condition and the location is ideal. The property is tastefully decorated and the personal touches make it feel like home. Close to the Seaport and Duval yet very quiet at night. There isn't a pool but it's only a 10 minute walk to Dantes where you can enjoy the pool, excellent food and cocktails. The owners have lived in KW for many years and are happy to advise on places to eat and drink. I have been renting property in KW for many years and this is the best value for money I have encountered. Can't wait to get back!
Great place in old town - close to the action but far enough away from duval that you can get some sleep when you want to. Owners are fantastic and know almost everyone in Key West. Well worth it.
Fast cat to dry tortugas, wonderful day out; butterfly and nature conservatory, south duval st. Great photo ops as you walk among butterflys and small birds; mallory square sunset celebration, nightly with buskers, vendors of art, crafts, jewelry, and musicians; sebago water sports: snorkeling, sunset sails, stargazing sails, sunset pier at o duval, for music, food and drinks while watching the sunset; farmers market bayview park every other thursday; also movies in the park/bayview monthly, bring picknic

Guests should carry their own personal property insurance, as owners are not responsible for loss or damage to tenant's personal property for any reason. Cancelation for this 30 day rental is minimum 60days in advance of arrival date for 50% refund of Deposit. Remaining 50% of deposit will be retained and can be used for booking in the future (24 months).
