Located at the end of its own driveway and perched on the cliff top, this contemporary villa is designed to embrace the superb views. A central living area comprising open-plan sitting area, dining area and kitchen, leading via the large patio doors to the solarium and pool, is flanked by bedroom wings to each side, ensuring those great sea-views are enjoyed everywhere.
The spacious and bright air-conditioned sitting and dining areas have direct views over the solarium and pool and out to the sea, and are where you will find the flat-screen TV with cable connection, DVD player (with a small selection to watch) and a PlayStation 4 (with a couple of games).
The modern kitchen in black and white is fully equipped with 4-ring induction hob, built-in oven and microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, electric kettle, coffeemaker, toaster, sandwich maker and hand-held liquidizer.
In the east wing is a bedroom with single beds and en-suite shower room and a second bedroom with a double bed and a shower room across the hall. The more spacious master bedroom with a double bed and en-suite shower room is in the west wing. All bedrooms are air-conditioned, benefit from direct sea-views and have patio doors opening to the solarium.
The solarium runs along the whole front of the house and features an outdoor dining table, outdoor sitting area, the large rectangular infinity pool, (optionally heated), and six sun-beds. Below this is the lawn leading down to the cliff. There is a large built-in wood/coal barbecue with side worktop and sink to enjoy leisure days at the villa and a ping-pong table close by.
The villa features a separate laundry with washing machine, iron and ironing board and secure parking for 2 cars is available. Cliffscape is a walled property that provides security and privacy, with a southern exposure ensuring those fantastic views and the sunniest weather in Madeira.
There are many walks around Calheta and easy access to the plateau of Paul da Serra, with its many levada walks, makes this villa perfectly located for walking in Madeira and for enjoying a lovely holiday surrounded by the beautiful Madeira countryside.

Swimming pool heating is optional and costs, 120,00€ per week for a setting of 24ºC, paid in cash on arrival. Pool heating can be provided and should be requested at least one week in advance. It is 3 Km to the resort town of Calheta, with its man-made golden sandy beach. Here you will, find a selection of cafés, restaurants, a larger supermarket, the marina (boat trips can be arranged), banks and a chemist.
A 5-minute drive will take you to either of the two surfing meccas of Jardim do Mar and Paul do Mar, at sea level and with trendy café-bars (try the caipirinhas and mojitos).
Funchal is an easy 35-minute drive and the airport less than 50 minutes along the motorway.

The rental value varies with the number of people occupying the property, so please ensure you enter the correct dates, number of adults, children and infants. Please note that supplements apply should additional people join you for any length of time.
To secure your reservation we require a 30% deposit, or the full amount if you are arriving within 8 weeks. The balance is due 8 weeks prior to arrival.
Final details for check-in and driving instructions to the property will be sent 7 days prior to arrival. A contact number will be provided, and to be able to access the property, you need to phone this number as you are leaving the airport. It is your responsibility to contact and advise the number provided on the check-in details to advise any delays to the expected check-in time.
Check-in times - at the property - are between 16H00 and 19H00. For Sunday arrivals and out of hours check-in, alternative arrangements will be made and an additional cost will apply.
Check-in and check-out flexibility will be applied where possible, but this will depend on housekeeping schedules and the departure and arrival days of other reservations either side of your stay; a definitive answer can only be provided within 24 hours of your arrival for check-in and your departure for check-out.

If you have a car and are driving to your villa or apartment, please follow these instructions. Using GPS will take you via old and less easy roads and unusual locations:
Leaving the airport take the motorway (Via Rápida) West in the direction of Funchal and after this to Ribeira Brava. Travel for 34. Km.
When you reach the end of the motorway (approximately 35 minutes) keep on the right hand lane and follow the signs to Ribeira Brava – Ponta do Sol.
The slip road will lead you to a roundabout. Take the first exit to Ribeira Brava and drive towards the sea for 1,4Km. You will reach another roundabout. Take the 1st exit into the tunnel and you will now carry on for 3,9Km until you reach the roundabout of Ponta do Sol.
At the end of the tunnel you will reach another roundabout; take the 2nd exit , signposted Ponta do Sol and drive through another tunnel. At the end, carry on along the coastal road and you will enter another tunnel. At the end, carry on along the coastal road and you will enter another tunnel.
At the end of this tunnel you will come to the roundabout of Ponta do Sol; on the left you will find a petrol station and mini market. Take the 2nd exit into the next tunnel and drive for 2,8Km.
At the end of the tunnel, at the roundabout, turn sharp right into the next tunnel (signposted Calheta).
At the roundabout (1,6Km), take the second turn-off, signposted to Calheta, drive through the next tunnel for 1,8Km and at the next roundabout go straight across, signposted Prazeres (don’t turn left into Calheta)
Continue along the main road and you will see a right exit to Estreito Da Calheta – DO NOT take this exit. Continue for approximately 300 metres and you will come to a roundabout.
