This apartment was renovated in 2014 to a very high standard. With traditional decorative features such a wood floors, wood ceilings and Savoie detailing and furniture, and yet it has all mods cons to give all the luxuries of modern living. With bright interior lighting, it maximises space and gives a luxurious accommodation in Planchamp, the most sought after ski-in/ski-out area of Valmorel. With a washer/ dryer, plus a separate WC, and 2nd WC in the bathroom with a walk-in power shower, bath, steam-proof bathroom mirror. It has a dishwasher, fully-fitted kitchen/diner with oven and microwave, plus fridge and small freezer compartment, waste disposal, high end crockery and cutlery, with fondu, raclette and pierrefond sets. For entertainment it has 2 TVs, wifi, DVD players, a home printer, board games, books and videos to borrow. It has a balcony with stunning views up, down and across the valley and a view of the Altispace lift queue. It has a balcony with an outdoor table and seating for 6, plus outdoor infra-red heater to keep you warm outdoors, even on the chilliest of days or evenings. It has a lockable ski locker and space to store ski clothes and equipment in the hallway. It is luxurious accommodation for 2, comfortable for 4 people and manageable for 6. During peak season weeks (Christmas, New Year, school half terms, Easter) we prefer guests to book Saturday to Saturday. In low season weeks, we are happy to consider guests who book long weekends of 5 nights or more.

We had good weather, good snow, a great apartment: in short: we had a great week!
Fast and smooth communication with the owner who makes an effort to make you feel comfortable. Apartment located on the ground floor, close to the slopes and in a very quiet location. No direct view of the piste from the inside, but a view of the Altispace lift from the terrace. What we really liked - among other things - was: • The separate living area with the seats in which you could both lie stretched out • The large TV • The quality of the mattress (we slept very well!) • The practical bench in the entrance hall • The mass of storage space • And ...... the owner’s tip to have the bread delivered was super!! Only thing that was really pity is that the WARM water remained very very orange. (I have never had this the previous years in other buildings in Valmorel) Apparently that is the case throughout that specific building. The week we stayed - even if you let the water run for a long time - it remained orange. There were some minor things that need repair; the owner responded very quickly and positively to my email when I passed it on after our stay. We had good weather, good snow, a great apartment: in short: we had a great week!

I have skied since 1976 and I have been on family ski holidays in Valmorel since 1983. All my children have learned to ski in Valmorel. It is a fun resort, whatever your age and whatever you skiing ability. I live in London, I have skied in France, Germany, Austria, Italy and the US. Valmorel has always stood out as easy access, easy to ski around, easy to cater for everyone's tastes. So we decided to buy a place there in 2014.

Why they chose this property

This property is perfectly situated. It is ski-in/ski-out so no carrying skis around. Put your skis on, and off you go. You can see the Altispace chair lift from the balcony so you can time it to avoid any queues. In 5 minutes you can walk down to the main village to the ski pass shop, the shops, bar and restaurants. In 5 minutes you walk up to the supermarket and ski pass area at CreveCoeur. You can get to and from the Teleboug, the cable car to the main village, without climbing any steps. There is a bar 2 minutes from the apartment in Les Marches. It is just perfectly situated.

What makes this property unique

Every centimetre of the apartment is planned to maximise the space. It is warm and cosy. Conveniently there are 2 toilets, so no loo rage, and a beautiful bathroom, with a walk in double shower and also a bath. The kitchen is modern and compact but has everything you want - oven and microwave, kettle and toaster, dishwasher and waste disposal. We also have a washer/dryer. The table expands to seat 8 for entertaining. The views are spectacular from the balcony. An infra-red heater keep you warm when outside on the balcony.
