The Portland Villa is a beautiful house with a great rooftop deck right off Alberta. Great kitchen, comfy beds, a spectacular tub! The house is well stocked and organized and the owner was helpful and easy to communicate with.

"Heaven on Earth"

  • 5 of 5

This is the first comment from the kids as we got out of the car. They also kept referring to it as a "mansion" so we all felt a little fancier!

Perfect neighborhood - I wished we had eaten out more, but on our annual trips we aren't usually in the middle of such bounty, so I planned too many at-home dinners. Don't make my mistake; there are a ton of great restaurants around. I was worried about parking two cars, but we always found a street spot right in front.

The outside lot is small, no room for the kids to run around, but that wasn't a problem, we found the cutest parks around. I missed having a grill on the roof or in the backyard, but I can understand the fire hazard. We expected to spend more time on the roof, but our group never naturally gravitated there. We spent all our group-time in the ballroom of a living room. We opened a few of the huge casement windows and with the cross-breezes, it felt like we were outside.

Rooms were set up well with beds. Mattresses were super comfy. The soaps and shampoos provided smelled very nice (I love those details).

Kitchen was efficient. The spices and oils provided were very handy. Good pots and pans and knives. We made several meals together, and all fit.

Helpful labels posted around the house. We never got confused about lights or ceiling fans or garbage/recycling. I am in the habit of packing-out compost in my bags because we usually stay in resorts, so I was happy to be able to put it in the yard waste bin. The smoke detectors did do a funny circle light as we were going to bed, but that made us all use our brains to figure out what they were. My son enjoys puzzles like that.

Catie was very helpful when I got confused, and wanted to make sure we were on the same page. Good communication.

Great villa with perfect location

  • 5 of 5

We cant brag enough on your place!! Our family really enjoyed the 4 nights we spent there. We were able to all spread out into our own spaces, but also come together in the spacious living /dining room for family time too. The kitchen was top notch, and the bathrooms were large and great too. We also got to have a couple of meals on the rooftop deck, what a great bonus. The location of the villa was awesome !! Alberta street is an artsy area with a lot of flavor. We spent a lot of mornings and evenings just walking around the neighborhood looking at everyones cool houses and yards. We also got to eat at couple places you mentioned we should try - and they were great. This was our first time to the Portland area and hope to come back again. I would definitely recommend this place and the owners are quick to respond to any questions and great hosts. Kevin

Great house, great location!

  • 4 of 5

We really enjoyed The Villa. Floor plan is nice and open. Kitchen is roomy and fully outfitted (REAL knives!). Tons to do on Alberta with a New Season's Market just a few blocks away. Finally, mattresses were high quality (not always the case with other rentals). Would definitely stay here again.

The PDX Villa is beautiful, clean, extremely comfortable and spacious.

  • 5 of 5

Our group had the pleasure of staying at the PDX Villa during our recent trip to Oregon and everyone loved it. The Villa is situated in the Alberta Arts District which was a perfect setting. Plenty of local, wonderful food and drink options and only a 15 - 25 minute ride to/from downtown.

The bedrooms were cozy; 3 of the 4 bedrooms had beautiful Oregon-centric wall art, a huge plus for our group. The bathrooms were exquisite, especially the large shower/tub in upper bath and the spacious shower in the lower. The living room was comfortable and expansive with lots of windows to view the surrounding neighborhood. The front patio and rooftop were our favorites; anytime spent outside was a plus and both areas were enjoyable.

Our first trip to Portland was a wonderful experience thanks to the Villa and our great hosts. We look forward to our next trip and can’t wait to stay at the Villa again!

Spacious, lovely and clean, in a great neighborhood

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Portland Villa! Very spacious! The great room is even larger than it appears in the photos! The kitchen is well appointed and great coffee was available. We utilized both decks, and enjoyed a fantastic sunset from the roof top deck. Everyone in our group (7 adults) fell in love with this home and hope to enjoy it again for future family gatherings in Portland. Carie was very responsive. Thank you Carie !
