In the heart of Portland's Alberta Arts! This beautifully built, custom home is just a couple of houses (not blocks!) off of Alberta Street making it central to the Alberta Arts neighborhood. Walk to Salt and Straw, Pine State Biscuits, Bollywood Theater, Little Big Burger, Barista Coffee and so many more of the unique restaurants and shops this special neighborhood has to offer.

We are also close to a killer grocery store (New Seasons) the airport (15 mins), downtown (10 mins), the convention center (10 mins), Williams and Mississippi St (5 mins) , the Max public transportation line, and a bike rental shop. It is the perfect home base to come and play in Portland Oregon :)

THE HIGHLIGHTS

*60" Smart TV, Full Cable w/HBO, Blue Ray DVD, fast wireless internet.

*Large front load Washer & Dryer.

*Shampoos, soaps, towels, ironing board and a hair dryer provided

*1.5 hours from adventures to Mt. Hood, Helens and the Oregon Coast.

HOUSE RULES

* 9 adults (maximum).

* Check-in: 4pm

* Check-out: 11am (minimal check-out procedures are posted at the home).

*No smoking in the house OR on the roof.

*10:30pm quite hours on the weekend and 10pm on weekdays.

* No parties or auxiliary gatherings of any kind.

* No pets.

*Parking: The first should be parked in the reserved driveway spot. Street parking is available for the second vehicle. If more than two vehicles, third to be parked in close by non-residential areas. Parking is almost always easy to find.

*Two night minimum on weekends.

*Three night minimum for holiday weekends

*1 week minimum for Thanksgiving and Christmas

* Cancellation: full refund provided if cancelled 30 days or more prior to arrival date.

GETTING AROUND

We are one block away from the 17 bus line that takes you to the Pearl District and Downtown. We are very close to excellent bike rental shops and bicycle corridors that take you downtown safely and in true PDX style! If you plan to have a car, it is very easy to park at the Villa and to get Downtown or anywhere else in Portland you wish to go.

PERMIT

Our home has a unique B&B permit allowing us to operate as a legal vacation house in Portland. We achieve this by having our housekeeper live in a separate, attached suite on the lower level. This suite is separate from the functioning vacation home with a separate entrance. She is available for help and assistance during your stay if needed, but otherwise will have no other impact on your vacation.

About Catie Aring

Caleb and I come from Ohio. So sure, we love Ohio - but love the PNW more. We are thankful that we now call Portland our home.

For fun - we hike A LOT, spending good time in the forests with our dog around Mt Hood, in the Gorge, or on the coast. I enjoy practicing yoga and am a certified yoga teacher. Caleb plays and loves ice hockey.

We aim to be super considerate and delightful guests when we rent and to provide a clean, rad home when we host.

Spacious and well appointed

We rented the Portland villa for 4 nights with family while traveling for a wedding. The house is beautiful, spacious, and in an excellent location. Outstanding shops and restaurants on Alberta Ave. just steps away. The owners were very responsive and easy to communicate with. We definitely recommend staying here.

Loved this place.

My family from Kansas vacationed in Portland last week. We are a family of 7, including 5 grown children. The villa was perfect for our stay. The bedrooms are large, the property is very clean and well maintained, and the kitchen is loaded with great cooking utensils and supplies. We loved spending our evenings on the roof-top. I would highly recommend this home!

Loved everything about this rental!

We had the best experience with this rental. The home is stocked with everything you would need during your stay. Neatly labeled and/or easily found in cabinets that truly make it a home away from home. The bedrooms worked out perfectly for our group and the beds were extremely comfortable. The master bath that has two entry doors allowed us to close off the master bedroom during the day. A+ on the arrival instructions and communication from the owner when we needed assistance. The rooftop patio area seals the deal. Stunning sunsets and a cozy comfortable space to enjoy the evenings in Portland. Thanks Aring family.

Wonderful home in an excellent location and a very responsive owner

We spent 6 days in Portland around our daughter's wedding and this house was our "home base." It was great (the home, the wedding and the week.) The house is bright and nicely decorated. The owner, Catie Aring, responded rapidly and helpfully to our questions. The bedrooms were comfortable and spacious. The kitchen is excellent and the open floor plan flow with the dining room and living room to make it comfortable for families/friends to hang out together. (We didn't use it given all the activity we had, but there is a large TV set with nice seating for viewing.) The two bathrooms were well set up. My only slight criticism of the house is the master bathroom's tub with whirlpool is very deep and a bit difficult to climb in and out of for 60+ers. However, the downstairs bathroom is easily usable if needed. A plus is that the master bathrooms's double entry meant this bathroom could be used by all of our family in the house as needed while we prepared for the weekend's events. (The two sinks in the master bathroom also meant my wife and I could get ready at the same time.) There is a hot tub on the third floor, another feature sadly we didn't get to use due, and a laundry room we did use. It is also located near an excellent supermarket, New Seasons, several excellent and varied restaurants including DOC, Old Salt Market Place and Bollywood, and great and unusual ice cream at Salt and Straw. The house and its owner definitely met and exceeded our expectations.
