Good enough for the money!
In our opinions!....Neighbourhood was good well kept and clean, Publix within walking distance, easy access to 192. Photos of swim pool do not show how surrounded it is with other properties - a few nights we were still listening to others gone midnight - if you are a light sleeper you won't be happy here (not to mention the noise of the air con and its' generators!) The pool itself however, was fab - clean , great size. The porch area was so small though that we couldn't sit out during rain without getting wet and only offered enough shade for 2 of us. But hey, if you love the sun then no problem. Owner was very quick with communications but the manager did not like that we had contacted her (not our fault, the phone was not working) He also did not care that I wanted to go through the damages that I had found (so take pictures asap in case of any queries).
I wouldn't say it was very clean - in fact on the second day we got the vacuum out but it was so pathetic we did our best with pan and brush. The kitchen area was fine though and ovens very good with lots of utensils etc. Bin bags as mentioned by previous clients are still on the stingy side as was the loo roll and towels, washer/dryer was great. There were 2 dishwasher tabs and sponges.
Mixed feelings about the beds - ALL of them sqeaked like mad - I could hear son in the next room every time he moved BUT weirdly we found them comfy. Overall, this property is very tired, lots of carpet stains, dirt in coffee table border, stain on curtain etc and could really do with some money being spent on it to spruce it up and a deep clean would work wonders. I personally wouldn't come back here just because of the noise (outside and the beds) - I do like to get to sleep on my terms, especially when getting up early for the parks. The other stuff is generally superficial. Drives to Disney a good 30 mins and Universal/airport at least 45, outside of rush hour.
Issues at the beginning of stay
The house was nice but several issues at the beginning of the week. 3 of the outdoor screens were ripped which caused a raccoon to go into the pool area and pooped. The maintenance did come after several hours and cleaned the pool and fixed the screens which should have been checked before we got there. The same morning I had a notice on the door the water was being turned off for non payment. I had to contact the owner and management and it got resolved approx 2 hours later. There was an issue with ants which they did come and spray the kitchen but could see ants on the house outside which did not get sprayed again I feel they should have taken care of before our arrival. The cable box did not work would keep turning on and off which I made several calls regarding this and they could not get a service man out until after we were leaving we hooked up our switch to be able to watch tv. The vacation was nice I won’t say it was not but should not have had to deal with all the issues and I was never offered any kind of refund for the problems.
Good location, nice pool. My only complaint is that the beds were hard and squeaky.
pleasant and enjoyable
It was really good to stay; everything was good, nice and clean; better than motel
House is in really a good condition and very pleasant and enjoyable
Good property, good location
This property is a good basic deal for the price in a good location to have fun in Central Florida. No problems.
Not entirely as advertised
We were lead to believe that we would have access to the resort area due to the pictures in the ad. When we arrived, we learned that this had changed and we would not be allowed to have access. We had some difficultly with check in. When we arrived at the resort to check in, we were told that they no longer handled the property and were unable to help us. This was resolved very quickly by the owner returning our phone call.
- House was clean and in good working order
- Pool area was clean
- Yard was clean
- Good communication once we arrived
- Queen beds are comfortable
- Neighborhood the house is in is quiet and clean
- Close to all of the parks. Restaurants, CVS and Walmart close by
- Pool heat isn't free. $25 a night with a 4 day minimum. Takes 24 hours to heat and isn't "guaranteed" according to the notes on the fridge. Fridge door sticks
- Note on the thermostat: If you turn the air down below 72 degrees the unit will freeze and you will be charged a $125.00 maintenance fee
- Note also states you will be charged for dishwasher or toilet overflow
- There were only 4 towels provided for our family of 4
- There were no dish sponges, paper towels or dish soap, no shampoo
- You are only provided one trash bag and one roll of cheap toilet paper per bathroom.
We ended up cutting our stay short and going home a day early, since the kids couldn't swim anyway because the pool was too cold. We would not stay here again and learned a valuable lesson about VRBOs in general.
