Dilapidated flat in terrible condition
The condition of the apartment is terrible and the photos in the listing were either altered or taken many, many years ago. The unit is dilapidated and in extremely poor condition. The carpet was dirty (and full of stains) and the sofa upholstery had many stains. The dryer does not work and clothes remain wet when the cycle is finished. The bathroom smells musty due to the water leaking from the shower because the shower is not properly sealed. The shower also had black mold. The floor throughout the unit is old, there were cracks in it, major scratches, as well as corrosion and holes in the wall in the bathroom. For check in, we were given the wrong lock box. Fortunately, we figured it out and were able to obtain the key to the unit. I was charged for things I never requested or agreed to, for example extra toiletries which we neither wanted nor used. "Customer service" was also abhorrent. We complained several times and never received a meaningful response until our stay was essentially over, and even then "Frankie" casually denied there being any problems. I will say that the one bright spot was that the repairman who came to try to repair the shower nozzle and washer was kind, but aside from that momentary sense of service and professionalism, this was a thoroughly bad experience both as to the unit itself and how "Frankie" utterly failed to respond to our complaints about it.

despite great location, several major issues with apartment
A group of 7 adults spent 5 days at this apartment. We were thrilled with the location but upon entry we noticed that it is much older than it seems in the pictures. This would have been tolerable but when we were told one of the 2 toilets were broken and would not be fixed until Monday (we arrived on Saturday and were leaving on Wednesday), we were quite upset. I was told by the person who let us in that nothing could be done. We then discovered that the heat didn't work (after the guy left). We contacted the management company by email (very responsive) but they could not send anyone until the next day. We were freezing but someone did come on Sunday and reset the heater. She also tried to fix the toilet but it needed a part. So one toilet for seven people for 1/2 of our stay. Other disappointments: thin blankets, very hard bed in the small room, dingy, worn sofa, low water pressure (shower was good though), mildew on downstairs shower curtain from water collecting in the seam, and on our last night- I saw a mouse run across the living room and into a crack in the fireplace!!!! We were offered a refund on the cleaning fee but honestly there should have been a larger compensation for our inconvenience and discomfort.

Great location. Reasonble price. A few minor issues.
4.5 stars. We had a great time and recommend this place. A few flaws prevent it from being 5 stars. Pros. Price. This unit seemed to be priced lower than other similar units that I could find. Location. The flat is on a small side street in a great neighborhood. It is 2-3 minutes from two major tube stations and near major bus lines. It is not a touristy neighborhood but has tons of everything, including great restaurants, coffee shops, grocery stores, and ATMs. It is just a few tube stops or maybe a half hour walk from most of central London. Space. The flat is as described and pictured. It is cozy, but we had 4 adults and 4 kids and the space was acceptable, although certainly not abundant. Professional Management for when things go wrong. See below. Enough hot water (although weak water pressure) and a good heating system. Comfy beds. Prompt refund of security deposit. Cons. We paid for early check-in at noon. We had no lines at the airport upon our arrival, so we knew we would be at the flat around 11:45 an informed the management company of this but they refused to meet us until exactly noon. Not a big deal but also not very nice, as we had no option but to wait on the sidewalk with all our luggage. Luckily, it was not raining at the time. The first night there, the smoke detector started chirping because it had a low battery. This could have ruined our entire vacation, especially because it could not be silenced as it was on a very high ceiling with no way to reach it. In a rental property, the batteries should be changed regularly so that this never happens, or, better yet, detectors with 10-year sealed batteries should be used. This was fixed the next day with one call to the management company, however, and that is a very good thing. The floors are excessively rustic. One of us got a huge splinter through socks here. Just need to wear shoes inside. Although the bathrooms are nice and have ample space, there is no useful place to put anything within arm's reach of the sink. There should be a vanity or shelves or at the very least a wide sink for things like toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, contact lens solution, etc., etc. Noise and light enter the flat easily. There should be better blackout curtains. Not much can be done about the noise, and it is not so bad because it is a small side street, but it is still urban so there is still some noise. Really only sleeps 7 comfortagbly because the sofa bed is small.

Great property, great location
We were very happy with this home rental. The house was just as described and as pictures showed. It was clean and neat. The best features (for our visit) was the ground level bedroom and the proximity to the tube station. We were a group of 6 adults and were all very comfortable with this rental. Communications with Leticia were easy and quick. My only suggestion, would be to provide more towels. We were quickly refunded the cleaning deposit. Overall it was a wonderful rental experience, highly recommend.
