Nestled in a delightful, tranquil valley a few minutes from the delightful village of Valdottavo and 20 minutes drive from the elegant and medieval city of Lucca, Villa Rosa is a 200 year old Liberty villa that will exceed all expectations. There are 5 spacious double bedrooms with 3 bathrooms (one ensuite) - all the bedrooms have fantastic light and views across the valley, with high beamed ceilings, cotto floors and traditional shutters. Four of the bedrooms have beautifully comfortable Super King double beds and in the fifth bedroom there are 2 single beds and 1 child's bed. The master bedroom boasts a lovely little terrace, where you can enjoy wonderful views across the valley whilst sipping your espresso...or something stronger!
On the ground floor, there is a double reception room and a separate fully equipped kitchen/dining area that easily seats 10. These beautiful rooms have 3m high ceilings with original beams and cotto floors. The reception rooms have seating around a lovely fireplace and a separate area for TV and games. Both the reception rooms and kitchen have French doors leading out to the garden and pool where you will also find a BBQ area and undercover seating for 10 people. The pool itself is 11m x 5m and there are ample sun loungers to enjoy the wonderful tranquil views of the hills and beautiful villages nearby.

There is ample parking adjacent to the house.

What a great villa at a wonderful location!

We had a lovely time with our family and friends. Villa Rosa is a great and wonderful house at a beautiful location in the hills close to Luca. Lots of things to do. A very friendly host. We can recommend this villa!

Wonderful!

We had an absolutely magical two weeks at Villa Rosa. The property was everything we expected from a true Italian Villa, authentic yet accommodating modern needs. The property is beautifully kept with a wonderful view, and the pool was lovely and so welcome during the heatwave. The owner, Charlie, was quick to respond to any concerns and very accommodating. The location is great, being close to Lucca (which we loved), as well as Firenze, Pisa and the beach. Our entire family from teens to grandma loved every minute. We can't wait return. I highly recommend a stay at Villa Rosa.

Alles hat gut geklappt, Vermieter hat sich immer gleich gemeldet und alles Organisiert. Nur die Stechmücken und Wespen waren sehr anstrengend. Nächstes mal vielleicht lieber Anfang Sommer hin . Ansonsten sehr zufrieden 👍🏻👍🏻

What a wonderful place!

Wonderful house in a beautiful environment up in the Lucca hills. Very nice swimming pool and very well equiped kitchen. Many good restaurants in the neighbourhood. And Lucca is very nearby. A special place to go visit again!

We are an English family of 5 living in Surrey and are complete Italophiles, whether it be the food, wine or just the warm affection of the locals!
Having taken numerous holidays in this beautiful part of Tuscany, and having fallen in love with the area, we bought the house in 2016 with a view to letting it for holiday rentals and for personal use.
We speak fluent English, Italian, French and Spanish and my wife can also get by in German!

Why they chose this property

It is such a beautiful, peaceful and happy house - the light floods in and fills one with joy. It is a place where we feel we can truly relax - whether that's reading by the pool or listening to music in the shade or cooking something wonderful in the spacious and well equipped kitchen. There is a wonderful 360 degree view of the surrounding countryside, and yet within minutes you are in Valdottavo with all its facilities. There are glorious walks or cycles from the villa to neighbouring villages and the beautiful town of Lucca is 20 minutes by car. Within a short drive, there are some fabulous family run trattoria's and more formal restaurants. The stunning Lucchese wine area of Montecarlo is 30 minutes away and here wine tastings can be booked.
