A Classic Vermont Farmhouse In A Country Setting Minutes From Amenities.

Our centrally-located home sits on a 4.5 acre property that includes many lovely mature trees and a small pond. Grill out on the deck, relax in the courtyard, sit around the fire pit, lie on the hammock, or enjoy a game of volleyball or tetherball. A bike path located across the street is part of the Lake Champlain Bikeway and provides access to great local cycling. Shelburne Village is located 1.5 miles southwest, and Burlington is located 5 miles north, and are accessible by bike paths, bike lanes and sidewalks.

Shelburne Village sits along the shore of Lake Champlain, only 15 minutes from downtown Burlington and the Burlington International Airport, and 45 minutes to the nearest ski resorts. Shelburne is home to the three top tourist attractions in Vermont: the world-renowned Shelburne Museum, Shelburne Farms, and the Vermont Teddy Bear Factory. In addition to these, Shelburne boasts excellent restaurants, Shelburne Vineyards, Fiddlehead Brewery, Shelburne Beach, Kwiniaska Golf Course, two sugarhouses, Shelburne Orchards, art galleries, a wine & coffee shop, public tennis courts, neighborhood supermarket, shops, bookstore, toy store, and a quintessential Vermont country store. Great walking trails abound, along with opportunities to kayak, snowshoe and downhill and cross country ski.

Very pleasant owners , we recommend staying in their beautiful house. We are extremely careful in selecting the places where we stayed , we treat them as our own house , so we appreciate it all the more when we feel like at home .....it was definitely the case in this house in shelburne , Vermont .

Superb place

The property is set off from the main road in a quiet though easily accessible area. Well maintained, neat, clean, and usable. Master room on main floor, with second guest room (1/2 bath). Three rooms upstairs (share bathroom) and additional room in basement with own bath. Basement also has laundry facilities. Full set of cooking supplies and spices available for use, equipment including knives are up to good standards. Owner, a prior influential member of UVM, has kindly maintained a family feel to the place, with discreetly arranged personal items linking the house to the community. This is the owners retreat, still being used but offered to others to enjoy Burlington, a feel every renter should desire to respect and continue.

Beautiful well equipped and appointed home at a very convenient location.

This was an excellent choice for our stay in Shelburne. We were about 13 miles from the wedding destination, 10 miles to downtown Burlington and very close to major ski areas. Everything you needed was within 3 miles on rte. 7. The communication ahead of time made it very easy to know what to expect and the information at the home explained everything we needed to know. Susan even checked with us during our stay to make sure everything was going okay and we had no problems or questions. I would definitely consider staying at this home again in the future.

Beautiful Vermont Home and Spacious Property

We had the pleasure of staying at this warm and inviting country farmhouse from October 6 - 10, 2016. We were in VT to attend my daughter and son-in-law's wedding and it was very important for us to all have a comfortable place to stay together. This immaculate house was large enough to accommodate our entire family with it's 6 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms. We enjoyed cooking in a gorgeous kitchen that was stocked with everything you could possibly need. We enjoyed coffee in the sunroom and meals around the kitchen island and spacious dining room table. The house offered a relaxing living room area with a gas fireplace as well as another tv/game room in the basement. There is a comfortable outdoor patio area overlooking the beautifully landscaped, private, back yard and fire pit. We would highly recommend staying at this well-loved and well-cared for home. The owner, Susan, was a pleasure to correspond with before we rented, during our stay, and after we had checked out.

lovely home with lots of space for the family to enjoy

This was a lovely home for our family vacation. We were traveling with several generations - small children up to adult. The large yard provided space for everyone to play and we had enough bedrooms to spread out. The kitchen is well equipped for meal prep or simply enjoying a take out meal. Beautiful library of books, fireplace inside - fire pit outside. Great!
