Fantastic stay
Another fantastic stay at rough park, the property as always was spotlessly clean and thoroughly maintained. My children love playing outside on the play area. The property is secluded enough to feel very private albeit you’re only 2 minutes from a shop in nearby Delabole or 10 minutes from the main roads heading towards pastow, port Isaac etc…thoroughly recommended

Another great stay
This is the 3rd time of staying here and just as good as the first time. The best equipped house we’ve stayed in with everything you need for a great stay away from home. The home made welcome cake is also very impressive. No doubt we will be returning again.

Good value for money
On arrival we were greeted with milk, wine and juice in the fridge and a lovely, big cake! The rooms were a good size for us and the house had some lovely games and books for the children. The kitchen was well equipped and the shower and bath were excellent. The outdoor play equipment really made it for our children. They had a lot of fun playing on them in between trips every day and the owners had helpfully left a slip and slide and some other fun outdoor games in the outhouse. Overall a really pleasant stay in a lovely property. I would definitely recommend it to other people who want to explore a bit of Cornwall.

Holiday Review Rough Park Farm
We found the property comfortable (best holiday beds ever had). Secure garden for children. Ample parking . The only criticism we have is that the windows look as if they have not been cleaned in a long time both inside and out . Overall a very good experience and would certainly revisit and recommend . Best wishes Martin and Brenda

Why they chose this property

Rough Park was built sometime in the 18th century probably because it has access to good quality well water. The well and the proximity to the road meant Rough Park was a well known stopping point for travellers and in particular gypsy families. The road opposite the farm is known as Gypsy Lane and as late as the 1970’s gypsies would regularly stop to request a “kettle of sweet water.”

The farm was originally part of the Boconnock Estate but along with many other farms in the area was sold off after WW1 to pay death duties.

My great-grandfatherbought the farm in 1919 and it has been in the family ever since. My sister and I were born here.

What makes this property unique

Private children's play area.
Large property.
Great location for exploring Cornwall.
Within walking distance of Cornish Coast Path
