Blue Lights and Sirens
Clean and functional unit in a quiet building close to the tube station.Comfy bed and plenty of closet space. However this appears to be thoroughfare for the police and ambulance services in the middle of the night.Life in the big city I guess...A couple of mini marts close by for essentials and the Half Moon pub for cheap beer!! Shout out to The Full Monty Cafe 5 minutes down Globe Rd #105. Reasonably priced for a very good breakfast ...
If you want to explore London, this flat is an excellent location. Stepney Green Tube Station is a 5 minute walk and the train takes about 30 minutes to Westminster.
The pub, Horn of Plenty, on Globe Road, a 5 minute walk from the flat has great food and on Tuesday night, a FUN trivia night.
Two great restaurants within walking distance are Effies on Mile End (excellent Turkish food and very friendly), and Nola’s on Roman Road ( a small New Orleans place—fun!).
Hardik at the Post Office on Globe Road was extremely helpful in packaging books to send home.
The staff at Sainsburys is friendly and helpful.
This flat is certainly one to which my wife and I would return on our next trip to London.
And also—a great mattress for an excellent night’s sleep.
Thank you Heinz - I am recommending you as a guest to anyone and everyone!
Great affordable flat in residential area close to public transportation.
We really enjoyed our stay.
10 day stay in London
My experience was great. This place’s location to the underground and city center was fantastic. The owner is very quick to respond and great to work with. Just a couple of things that may be helpful to future customers: a brief overview of how things like stove, tv, and shower works. Also instructions on how to lock glass doors would be great. The dryer doesn’t work at all but having the drying rack was great. The last thing was there was some mold on the slip proof mate that goes into the shower. Overall I would recommend this place to others and would use it again.
London for 5 days
Great location for us as a couple. Convenient to Stepney Green underground and grocery directly around corner from station so made it easy to grab things on the way home after a day out and about. Small, but very adequate kitchen facility. Everything including pots, pans ,silverware, coffee mugs, glass and flatware. Nice fridge with leftover condiments from past guests along with a cupboard of odds and ends (sugar, some coffee, salt) those type of things. Bathroom was sufficient nothing overly impressive. Could use a new showerhead or possibly a dead clean of it to improve water pressure. Towels were a bit rough, but luckily we had our own from a previous cruise so we used those. Bedroom was nice. Bed comfy. Good cross breeze with windows and balcony door open. Plenty of closet and hangars ( which we used for drying of laundry) . Living room had comfy couch, could benefit from small end table and a floor lamp. We just moved one of the lamps from the nightstand in bedroom to living room so we did not have to use overhead light. Having laundry was a huge plus. Great Machine just need to understand that dryer is not like U. S. dryer better to air dry or you'll be there forever. Instructions would be beneficial to visitors for both the stove and laundry. WIFI worked great along with streaming for TV. Owner is super helpful and checks in on occasion via email which was nice I thought plus we had other contact info if needed. While I felt safe the neighborhood was a bit sketchy and police cars did seem to go up and down the street pretty consistently starting about 9om each night. By the third night it was out running joke. ( Must be 9 ) there goes the cops, but nonetheless people kept to themselves and as I said I was never uncomfortable just know going in it's not probably the best neighborhood in London but I'm sure it's not the worst either. I would recommend for a couple or max number of 2 travelers anymore and things could feel cramped and tight. I would rent this flat again based on price at time of booking. Probably cheapest and closet to Central London with great owners.
The property was open and airy. We really enjoyed the balcony after a long day of exploring. We used both buses and underground while staying here. We shopped at groceries at both ends of the street. We cooked every day despite restaurants within walking distance. The property is well equiped, but simple instruction, especially for the washer/dryer would help. The place fit well for 3 people.
Lots of very good restaurants nearby - Brick Lane is 25 minutes walk or a bus ride away - it's very fashionable, lots of boutiques and small shops
