Cozy cabin

  • 5 of 5

We spent a week in the Kiefer cabin. The accomodations were pretty comfortable over all. The view of the mountains from the large plate glass windows was absolutely stunning. We were extremely pleased with our stay and would most definitely recommend this rental.

So close to park entrance you could almost walk there

  • 5 of 5

We rented Kiefer Cabin for our annual girls trip and it was absolutely perfect for 3 of us! The location was ideal for visiting Estes Park or Rocky Mountain National Park. It was just a couple minutes by car to the Beaver Meadows entrance gate - which is also the closest entrance to reach Bear Lake. It was great to wake up in the morning and see elk roaming through the yard. It was a little cold to sit outside in the adirondack chairs facing the sunset, but I bet it would be spectacular in the summer. The cabin is fully equipped with a kitchen, laundry room, bathroom, and two bedrooms as well as the open living room area with a TV and DVD player. The WiFi was dependable, which was great since the cell reception in the area was a little iffy. The bedroom in the loft has 2 queens and the downstairs bedroom also has a queen bed and a closet. I would only change one thing - a little more lighting for the stairs to the loft. The light in the loft does not shine on the stairs, so unless ALL the lights are on downstairs, it's really hard to see when you are walking down from the loft to the living room. I was glad I remembered to bring a flashlight for those late night trips to the bathroom downstairs. We enjoyed eating dinner at the Rock Inn which is just down the street.

Great cabin right outside entrance to RMNP!

  • 4 of 5

The cabin was super clean and stocked with everything you need. Elk and deer walked thru the yard while we were outside! The only negative for us was that the road was close so when you sit out in the adirondack chairs to enjoy the beautiful view, cars were constantly going by. You couldn't hear it inside. It was only a couple minutes to the park entrance and close to Mary's Lake 1929 Tavern which we highly recommend and where we saw bugling elk and a bear! All in all it was a great place and we really enjoyed our stay.

Great cabin for a great vacation

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful vacation in Estes Park/RMNP, and this cabin was a big reason why. We loved the outdoor seating options which overlooked Longs Peak. The inside of the cabin was clean and comfortable. It was well stocked, and Eric was fantastic to work with. We saw deer, elk, and a bear outside the cabin throughout our trip. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful, serene and very clean!

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I, our son and his girlfriend stayed at Kiefer Cabin from 6/9/17-6/12/17. We found the cabin easily and were very pleasantly surprised to find how well it was kept and how well stocked the kitchen was. This was one of the few VRBO properties that we were able to move right into without making a trip to the store for various kitchen items. Our two bedrooms were very comfortable as were the furnishings throughout the cabin. One perfect mountain evening we prepared a multiple course meal and dined outside while enjoying the sunset on Longs Peak. Multiple times we would have elk grazing past mere feet from the cabin. There were lots of other wildlife constantly in the area. I cannot say enough positives about the property and Eric the owner. If you desire a mountain cabin, convenient to Estes Park amenities or Rocky Mountain National Park, look no further, book this one!
