Situated at ground level in our house just 15 minutes walk to restaurants, bars and shopping on Commercial Drive, and to a major transit hub that can take you Downtown, to The University of BC, or to the airport, or if you prefer, a 50 metre walk to the nearest bus stop which will have you downtown in 20 minutes.

A 20 minute walk to some of the best live theatre in Canada at The Cultch.

A 15 minute walk to beautiful Trout Lake for a stroll or picnic.

A 25 minute walk to the up and coming East Village at Hastings St for more great eating and drinking. This is in short, a great neighbourhood!

There is Wifi, a flat screen Smart TV, cd and dvd player as well. The bedroom comes with a Queen bed and ample closet space.

The bathroom features a 2 person soaker tub with air jets, a rain style shower and heated floors.

There is a lovely garden outside the suite entrance with a place to sit and enjoy the sunset.

The house is a quiet place, so you will be guaranteed to be able to rest well.

There is ample free parking on the street in front of our house.

Why Mark & Geraldine chose East Side

We bought this house together after we got married. The previous owners did a fantastic job of renovating this character home and it was obvious how much love they had put into it. It's a great neighbourhood not only for it's location but for the diversity of the people, who are friendly and welcoming.

Great place to stay. 10 minutes from downtown Vancouver, 20 from Grouse Mountain. Mark was great, gave us a rundown of where we needed to go. The unit was very nice and clean. We will definitely be staying here again on our next trip to Vancouver.

We have not used HomeAway before, perfect 1st time experience.The apartment was very clean, modern, the bed was over comfortable, and the kitchen was just right for cooking (although we didn't do much cooking!!!), Bath tub was amazing! We loved the location - close enough to the city centre, location is very good and convenient to get to all attractions, the property is in a very quiet location but very easy to get anywhere we needed to go.

Location of property was within 10 minutes of family we were visiting, just perfect.

Lots of lovely restaurants, walks and places to visit.

Mark & Geraldine were very helpful if we needed.

Thank you very much for a wonderful stay and we will defiantly use this property again if we can get booked in.

We believe we may be coming back next year for our sons wedding.

Very clean with lots of space

The downstairs apartment was very nice. Nice kitchen and living room. Lots of space. It would have been nicer if the owner had supplied more condiments, (coffee cream, sugar, etc) but that was our only objection. Quiet neighborhood.

Just right

This property was just right for me. Neat and compact, and in a lovely area/community. It was close to where I needed to be - Commercial Drive, and easy to get to other parts of Vancouver either by using No 7 bus, or walking down to Commercial/Broadway and getting the skytrain. If I return to Vancouver I will stay here again if I can.

Lovely home, great location, brilliant hosts

The apartment was perfect - clean, renovated, modern (and oh my goodness - that bathtub was five star hotel worthy!). The bed was super comfortable, and the kitchen well thought through if you want to cook at home. We loved the location - while not in the city centre, it is very well positioned to get around easily and quickly, and with a quick walk from the bustle of Commercial Drive, the house is in a leafy, lovely, quiet suburban area - every day was like coming back to an oasis. We found being out of the city centre to be a bonus - and with the skytrain only 10 minutes walk away it was easy to get anywhere we needed to go.

Commercial Drive was brilliant for restaurants - breakfast and dinner. There were so many options available, that it took us a couple of days to go past 1st Avenue - which we highly recommend you do because the restaurants past there are plentiful and all great!

The hosts were brilliant. Don’t be put off by the fact that they live above. Mark greeted us on arrival and gave us a run down of the place, was very clear that if we needed anything from him that we should just ask, then let us be - we hardly knew they were there.

Overall we had a brilliant experience, and would absolutely stay again - one of the best we’ve used.

This is a moderately quiet house. Entertaining guests during your rental is fine and normal enjoyment is encouraged, but absolutely no partying! Quiet required by 10pm as this is a family neighbourhood.

Owner's Cancellation Policy

  • 50% refund if cancelled at least 14 days before arrival date.
  • 100% refund if cancelled at least 30 days before arrival date.
  • Service Fee fully refunded on cancellations that qualify for 100% refund.
