The green room is on the second floor with the private bathroom which includes both a bath and shower immediately adjacent. The twin beds can be put together to make a king size double if preferred, just let us know when you book. The spacious room which is heated in winter has a washstand which can be used as a table, two easy chairs and WiFi. Breakfast is provided and guests are welcome to use the living room and kitchen. The market, bakers, river, walks and restaurants are all within 2 minutes
The room overlooks the garden of the rectory, so although the house is right in the middle of town, the location is peaceful. The 17th century house itself lies at the bottom corner of the old cattle market which now provides abundant free parking. Architecturally the house is interesting as it is far wider at the front than the rear having an unmistakable rising eaves line when viewed from the side, and therefore easily recognised. There are terraces at 3 levels to the rear of the house which you are welcome to use.
Jenny and I live on the premises so we can be flexible about arrival times. The town of Eymoutiers grew up around the river and so most buildings nestle on the hillside.
This means that like most of the historic buildings, our house is on several floors and the room is therefore not easily accessed by wheelchair.
The bathroom is immediately adjacent the room and is not shared with any other bedroom.
