Romantic and perfect!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed for a quick weekend plus a couple of weekdays and had an amazing time! We loved the quiet and privacy we were afforded...and in a tasting room, no less! We ventured out when the tasting room was open and visited the coast one day, other wineries the next, a hike through waterfalls the next day, then more wine. Our last morning there, we had a private tasting with John Wrigley (along with the lovely Melissa) and had the most wonderful and educating experience! John is, of course, friendly, knowledgeable and down-to-earth and one can tell he is passionate about his family and his winery. There isn't a TV, so if you're looking to kick back and watch your shows, you won't be able to...but why would you? Enjoy the views, the smells, the quiet, the wine...and disconnect from the chaos we all tend to live everyday. Trust's worth it and you will return recharged! Thank you so much for your hospitality and the great memories.

Beautiful setting with amazing views!

  • 5 of 5

We just stayed for a girls weekend, and had a fantastic experience! The tasting room is open for about 5 hours in the middle of the day, at which time we headed out to experience other wineries and tasting rooms in the McMinnville area. The space is perfect for a small group, the kitchen had everything we needed to prepare dinner, and the remote location was ideal as we tend to get a bit loud in the evenings. Can't wait to go back!

A unique gem of a place tucked away in the hillside

  • 5 of 5

Absolutely loved this place! You really do get the whole tasting room to yourself at 4pm. Bring some groceries with you and make dinner or use the grill out back and just relax. It's as inviting as the pictures look! Rick at the tasting room is great and so helpful. The Wrigley family is so nice too, we were there during a harvest day and had a lot of fun looking out I to the vines to watch the process. Their wines are also lovely. Highly recommend, especially if you are a true wine lover. Note it is a little off the beaten path so don't expect to order a pizza for dinner - grab something in newberg or McMinnville and just go and enjoy the space :)

Willamette Valley Vineyard experience like no other

  • 5 of 5

Our J Wrigley Vineyard and tasting room VRBO experience has been second to none. From the way we were greeted when we arrived by Rick, to our driver Alyx who took us to a few other vineyards for wine tastings that same afternoon, to the private gourmet meal served to us in the tasting room by the owners themselves in the evening... WOW.

We are grateful for the gift of your time as well as your property. Where else are you going to be able to find a wine grower/owner (John Wrigley) willing to spend several hours in an evening educating you in wine growing, wine making and the history of the place? There is so much authenticity, intelligence and depth here it feels impossible to match. As the westernmost vineyard and tasting room in the valley (and all of Oregon?), we were able to take an easy day trip to the coast on our 2nd day here. Hiking, whale watching, sightseeing, and a great meal at Tidal Raves (that serves J Wrigley wine!). We'll not soon forget this amazing experience.

Oh, and the bed is comfortable and the entire accommodation situation is relaxing, with complete solitude from the rest of the world. Our 2nd and final morning here we saw Mount Hood and the sun rising behind it. What a way to end our stay.

Thank you to everyone in the family for creating this truly remarkable vineyard experience possible.

Amazing Stay in the JWRIGLEY Winery tasting room!

  • 5 of 5

Had a fabulous time at the JWRIGLEY Winery. The weekend was a blast! We enjoyed the scenery, the food (Memorial Weekend BBQ), and, of course the wine! John and Jody were great hosts and a joy to be around. Was able to go around and enjoy several other family owned wineries that weekend and enjoy some good Pinot paired with some good food. Recommend stopping at Whole Foods in Portland on the way down to pick up some good fresh food. John was very knowledgeable about the wine business and was very interesting to learn about the lay of the land in the Willamette Valley. Was able to bring home 3 cases of wine with no shipping costs on Alaska Airlines. And of course, I joined the Wine Club! Checked out the Evergreen Aviation and Space Museum on the way out and was able to visit the amazing Spruce Goose. Definitely get some of those local tasty berries and hazelnuts and/or walnuts, too!
