One Bedroom House, Sleeps 2
Home from Home Holidays
1st time on the Island.
This property was great, clean, well equipped spacious and very nice owners. There is a terrific bus service around the Island, and you can use your bus pass. There is also great places to eat and drink, and to end it all the weather was beautiful. I would definitely stay here again and also I would recommend it.

Very well presented accommodation in all respects and lovely hosts. Everything fine once you remember not to stand up too quickly in the bedroom because of the sloping ceiling. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Thank you so much for taking the time to put together such a lovely review. We're always thrilled to receive positive feedback and I will ensure your comments are passed onto the owner. We look forward to welcoming you back to The Wing at Fox Hollow and the Isle of Wight soon!
Home from Home Holidays.
Lovely cottage ideal location to visiting all of the island with car..One small downside there is no path near cottage to walk anywhere to so have to use car. There is a bus stop a few yards up or down road but bit dangerous as no path to either.
Thank you so much for taking the time to put together this lovely review. We're always thrilled to receive positive feedback and I will ensure your comments are passed onto the owners and the team at Home from Home Holidays. The Isle of Wight still retains a unique charm, so we don't always have the luxury of footpaths unfortunately, but I hope this does not deter you from returning! We look forward to welcoming you back to the island soon.
First class accommodation.
All the facilities were first class, nice to arrive and to have tea coffee and milk for a relaxing brew.
Very friendly host's, and unobtrusive.
In the kitchen there was even washing up liquid, tablets for the dishwasher and washing machine,
The cleanliness was second to non, I will recommend this lovely holiday lett.
Very highly rated
I very highly rate this beautifully appointed place. The owners are great - unobtrusive but friendly and efficient and nothing is too much trouble.
Godshill is a quintessential English Village with its charming thatched roofed cottages, delightful medieval church and a winding main street lined with tearooms serving homemade cakes, along with traditional family pubs and an interesting range of shops offering local crafts and produce, such as ciders, pickles, mustards and biscuits. Godshill also has a very popular model village.
Shanklin lays to the south of Sandown, its sister resort within the Sandown Bay area, and is back-dropped by the dramatic red cliffs of Luccombe and the sandstone cliffs along the bay. It also has some of the best sandy beaches on the island and is a popular level walk all the way from Sandown, a few miles away. The famous Shanklin Chine is one of Britain's oldest visitor attractions and was popular with Victorian visitors as a natural wonder. The delightful waterfall and rare plants make it a firm favourite to this day and it also connects the beach with Shanklin Old Village; a picturesque collection of thatched, Island-stone cottages that now have a range of boutiques, gift shops, cafes and restaurants to enjoy. Shanklin itself has long been a popular location and as well as the beach, it has a decent selection of eateries, shops and amenities. The train station here connects with Ryde Pier via Lake, Sandown, Brading and Ryde Esplanade.
The Isle of Wight is famous for its superb beaches, dramatic coastlines and outstanding natural beauty, making it a holiday haven with something for everyone. From secluded coves and wide expanses of sandy beaches to coastal paths and woodland, it's not just the stunning landscapes that attract visitors to the island, but also the variety of things to see and do. Rich in a wide variety of sporting and leisure activities, it's no wonder visitors return year after year. Self-catering is the most popular option because it is both cost effective and offers the flexibility and freedom to come and go as you please.
