Great place to stay.
Amy's house was very comfortable. It has all of the housewares and supplies you would want. It was very clean and well maintained The heat was good for the chilly weather we had while we were there. It also has a great view of the lake with a nice backyard.
Great fall get away
Beautiful, clean house. Quiet with all of the creature comforts of home. Close enough to Salem that we went several times during our stay. Owners are helpful and friendly. Would love to make this our yearly get away spot or come back in summer with family!
I actually rented because of a sudden death in the family and was quite desperate for a place due to the gas crisis up North. Some of the reviews scared me! DON’T be fooled by them! This house is a GEM, comfy, peaceful, clean and the host was wonderful to us. I actually booked it again while I was there and will be enjoying our traditional Thanksgiving feast and hunt in the area. Thank you Amy!!
Fantastic family Vacation!
Three generations from Grampy's 70th birthday to 7 year old grandchildren and parents in the middle. Something for everyone to enjoy - swimming, kayak, canoe, Waterboard, hammock and books. Indoor and outdoor games, firepit for s'mores, and lots of room to sit and chat and/or play a baseball game. Kitchen well stocked for preparing meals and two bathrooms with lots of towels. Like moving your own home to the lake. Thank you Amy and Eric. We certainly hope to be back again next summer.
Hilda- Thank you for choosing our house to celebrate!!! We are so glad you enjoyed your time!
Cheers- Amy and Eric
Enjoyed our Stay
We enjoyed our stay at this home very much except for the fact that the first floor was not air conditioned and the weather was rainy, hot and humid which made it very uncomfortable to stay on the first floor of the home. The yard and the large deck were great for children to play. The house is very well equipped with almost anything you may need. Amy was a pleasure to deal with.
Nice house but not exactly like the pictures
This picture was probably taken a few years ago or when everything was set up perfectly. The house is quite nice but just not kept up. The grass was cut but there were overgrown weeds, water bottles on the ground, and things outside just not what we expected. As we opened the door, the mud room was full of kid's shoes, tools, parts to fix things, etc, (again not what we expected). Finally, we walked into a very nice kitchen with everything that we needed and a large living room with a wonderful view. Upstairs were three small bedrooms, two with great views of the lake. One bedroom had a window air conditioner and the other had a portable air conditioner. It was very hot and muggy while we were there so I went to connect the portable air conditioner. The hose was a mess! It was falling apart in quite a few places. I could see that someone had tried to fix it in the past and that it had not worked. I found some tape in the mudroom and patched it up as best that I could so I could sleep. Another thing that future renters need to be careful of are the stairs. They are very pretty with book shelves along the side but there are no railings. The stairs are slippery. My sister slipped and with nothing to grab on to fell and broke her toe.I am sorry to be so negative. All in all, it was a nice vacation. My brother-in-law fished on the dock most everyday and caught something which made him happy. We went on many day trips to some great places. One of the best things though was I was able to bring my little Shih Tzu on vacation!
