Located in an area just one kilometer from Viana do Castelo, the House surprises by its offer of very quiet, proving to be a true refuge for visitors. The surprise occurs, above all, because the house is surrounded by beautiful and well-kept gardens surrounded by a dense cedar hedge that protects the entire property from the hustle and bustle. Crossing the entrance gate, guests find a garden dominated by a stone bowl, built after a fire that damaged the house and whose gravity was due to the lack of water nearby. The house itself was built in the 17th century, still maintaining much of the original design.
Casa do Ameal has a showcase of regional objects and costumes, handicrafts and old suits, which was not strange the female touch of the housewives, and, outside, a well-kept garden, which preserves some quiet corners. To the right of the main building, in the old agricultural buildings and around a garden with a swimming pool, are the apartments - for four or for two people - all with independent entrance.
