It is beautiful and spacious, with lots of light, and located in the best neighborhood in Asheville. This one bedroom apartment is a quick walk to downtown Asheville and has everything you need for a long or short stay.

The apartment most easily accommodates two people, with a Queen Size bed. There is a rollaway twin cot for a 3rd person, and a 4th person can sleep on the extra long, very flat couch.

You have access to the entire downstairs apartment (private apartment) and your own private patio. This apartment has a separate entrance from the rest of the house.

I live in a completely separate part of the house, and while I am available if needed, I give my guests privacy during their stay. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you need anything.

This is a tranquil retreat just a short distance from downtown, and this is the downstairs apartment. There are other guests who will be staying in the guest suite above this apartment. We ask that guests to honor the tranquility of the space by observing quiet hours and the peaceful atmosphere. The house is on a very quiet, dead-end street with little road noise. There is air conditioning in the apartment for the summer and three space heaters (along with the central heat) for the winter.

This neighborhood is excellent for strolling around and walking to downtown. It is a beautiful neighborhood, with many historic homes and large trees.

Montford has several great restaurants: Nine Mile (Caribbean), Chiesa (home-made Italian), and Tod's Tasties, an artisan sandwich place which is great for outdoor dining.

This apartment is located in Montford, a historic neightborhood adjacent to downtown Asheville. It is about a 20-minute walk (partly uphill) to downtown or the River Arts District. It's a 10-minute bike ride, and a $5.00 Uber ride. Very convenient to I-40 and I-26 to take you to surrounding areas.

What makes this apartment unique

One of my favorite things about the apartment is that it is so large and open. I also love the small lawn and stone patio right outside of your door (both of which are for your private use). I like that this house is on a dead-end road, with little traffic or road noise, and that you can enjoy a nice walk to downtown or the RAD, or Uber there and back for less than the cost of parking.

Great apartment + location!

We loved staying at this apartment for our week in Asheville. It was spacious and put-together well. The location was great to explore Asheville. We walked into downtown a few times and even though it was uphill, it wasn't that difficult and was a pleasant experience. When we didn't feel like walking we took an uber/lyft for about $7. Finding the apartment was difficult at night because of the bush in front of the house and confusing drive-ways, but the neighborhood is really cute. We wished there was a designated parking spot, but it was also easy to park along the street. Overall, great experience!

We enjoyed are stay and the owner was very friendly. I would have to say the apartment could use a little updating but was clean and not unappealing. The shrubs in front of the main house need to be trimmed if guest are going to be required to park there. There is no way for a person to enter/exit the vehicle on the passenger's side.

For those looking to be able to walk to downtown Asheville, this is not the place regardless of what other reviews state. The walk includes a very steep incline and would be a good distance away. That said, there is plenty of inexpensive parking available downtown. I do not want to discourage people from staying here as we would stay again, but just want those looking to have an honest review.

Location, spaciousness and comfort

As others have mentioned, KIm's place is in a superb location, has plenty of room for the price, and is very comfortable, probably due to some thoughtful details and items, including half and half for coffee! The neighborhood is delightful and Kim is responsive and easy to work with. We'd stay again.
