Het huis en de plek zijn in 1 woord: FANTASTISCH! Wij hebben hier een geweldige week gehad. Echt een aanrader. Wij waren hier met 3 gezinnen (6 volw. 4 kinderen) en we hebben ons prima vermaakt. Wij hadden van tevoren niet gebeld, wat wel aan te raden is, dan komt de beheerster Nathalie namelijk naar het huis toe om de sleutel te geven. Wij hadden het geluk dat ze aanwezig was om 16 uur. Ze praat gelukkig een beetje Engels en we kregen uitleg over het huis, waar we op moeten letten en hoe om te gaan met het zwembad. Er is in de directe buurt niet heel veel te doen maar dat hoeft voor ons ook niet. We hadden 30 graden C deze week dus het zwembad was ons 1e vermaak. Daarbij zijn de corona maatregelen aangescherpt in Frankrijk sinds 21 juli dus vanaf dat moment moet je een recente test of een vaccinatie bewijs kunnen laten zien. Helaas konden wij daarom vanaf woensdag niet meer naar een kasteel of pretpark. Wel zijn we in het kasteel van Amboise geweest, dat is een echte aanrader! Prachtig! Ook de markt in de middeleeuwse stad Loches was de moeite waard. Deze is op zondagochtend en woensdagochtend. Ongeveer een half uur rijden vanaf het huis.´ Het huis is van alle gemakken voorzien, de bedden slapen heerlijk, op zolder is een mobile airco aanwezig. In de keuken zijn een filterkoffie apparaat en een senseo aanwezig. Verder is er een wasmachine welke vrij te gebruiken is. Ook staat er naast het huis een kleiner huisje waar kinderspeelgoed aanwezig is voor de echt kleine kinderen. Een goede supermarkt (Intermarche) is in Descartes, ongeveer 10 minuten rijden. Onze routeplanner (google) gaf eerst de verkeerde locatie aan, wellicht handiger om het tankstation Carburant Intermarche in te toetsen. Is namelijk een tankstation op de parkeerplaats.

Aankomst was prima. De eigenaar was niet aanwezig, wel een andere dame die ons ontving en even snel uitlegde hoe het zwembad werkte. Omgeving is mooi, maar er is weinig te doen. We hadden het huis goed opgeruimd. Bij vertrek stond de eigenaresse buiten te wachten en werden we er nog even op gewezen dat we de ligstoelen niet goed hadden terug gezet. Dat was niet nodig en vonden we jammer na alle moeite die wij gedaan hebben (planten water gegeven vanwege warm weer, zwembad schoon gehouden, hok opgeruimd, fiets opgeknapt, bakjes van de wc verwisseld etc.) niet heel gastvrij.

Bij aankomst werden wij hartelijk verwelkomd door de eigenaresse Nathalie. Zij heeft ons alles verteld over het huis en het openen en afdekken van het zwembad. Ze heeft verteld waar we boodschappen konden doen en tips gegeven over de lokale markten e.d. Het huis heeft een schitterend uitzicht over het boerenland en ligt centraal op ca. 20 km. afstand van Loches en vlakbij Descartes. Hier is een grote supermarkt. In het kleine dorp Cussay is niet veel maar er is wel een distributeur de Baguettes op loopafstand. Diverse fraaie kastelen langs de Loire, Vienne en Cher op een uur rijden. Loches is ook zeer fraai met een leuke markt op woens- en zaterdagochtend. Het huis is zeer geschikt voor 10 personen en de keuken is heel uitgebreid. Je zit elkaar niet in de weg. Erg genoten van het zwembad en de heerlijke avonden buiten op het terras. Prima locatie.
