About this property

A Beautiful Rural Farmhouse With Flexible Living Space And Great Views

A first class modern detached two-storey self-catering holiday cottage situated on a working farm surrounded by fields of waving golden wheat is the perfect antidote to stress and city-life. Fitted out with all modern conveniences for your every comfort, you can relax and enjoy the tranquillity of what is one of the most idyllic spots you could imagine...yet it is only 5 minutes from Stirling City Centre and the main motorway hub connecting you to all the major cities and tourist locations in Scotland.
There are 4 bedrooms,2 doubles and 2 twins with one of the twins being on the ground floor benefiting guests with walking difficulties or require use of a wheelchair, there is a wet room with disabled facilities opposite this bedroom. One of the double bedrooms on the first floor has an en-suite shower room and there is a further bathroom with electric shower above.
The ground floor living areas are open-plan with a large lounge/dining area which flows from a well equipped open kitchen. There is plenty of natural light from the patio doors and windows to really appreciate the views. Lastly there is a second tv/playroom. The Coach House is very well equipped with a wood burning stove in the sitting room to modern appliances in the kitchen and a washing machine and tumble drier in the utility room.
There is a garden and patio area and a large area for parking. The river Forth runs around the farm and is about 400m from the holiday house.

Aussies trip to Scotland staying at the Coach House
Absolutely perfect location for our trip to Scotland to visit family and travel throughout the highlands and major cities sight seeing. The home was very warm and welcoming upon our arrival and accommodated my 5 children, wife and I to a tea we will endeavour to book another stay here on our next visit to Scotland

Rural living close to city life
This property is unique in that the setting is on a farm yet it is only a few miles from all the attractions the area has to offer. The coach house itself is very spacious with spectacular views. The downstairs bedroom and disabled bathroom are wonderful facilities for those who need them. We had great joy watching the cows give birth to their calves right next door to the house. Plenty of room for kids to play outside and a toy room inside was loved by our children. The whole week was very relaxing and very comfortable.

GAVIN AND LINZI'S
WE ENJOYED STAYING HERE. IT WAS CONVENIENT TO ALL OF THE CASTLES, GARDENS AND OTHER SITES AROUND STIRLING, UP TO PERTH AND EASTWARD. THE HOUSE IS LOCATED ON THE OWNERS FARM. IT WAS PEACEFUL AND QUIET. IT HAD ALL THE AMENITIES LISTED IN THE SITE. IT WAS A GREAT PLACE TO RELAX AFTER A BUSY DAY TOURING. WHILE BEING IN A RURAL SETTING, YOU ARE CLOSE TO ROADS TO GET TO ALL THE THINGS THERE ARE TO DO. THE EDINBURGH AIRORT IS ONLY 40 MINUTES AWAY.

Great Hosts and wonderful Garden for Youngsters
Spacious and well equipped house with cattle in a farmyard out the window. The cows looked like they envied our outdoor happy hours! Once you get on Chalmerston Road, you need to read a very small blue sign to find it. Perfect location near tourist spots in Stirling and environs and close to the most interesting small towns. Only criticism is there were no drawers for unpacking, so I lived out of my suitcase.

Our Stay at the Coach House
This house was the perfect base for our two weeks in Stirling. Linzi and Gavin are an amazing couple who were very helpful and accommodating. The house was in a peaceful farm setting and had all the amenities that we needed. The house was clean and spacious. We enjoyed watching the cows, pheasants, hares, ducks and many types of birds.

I have lived on this farm my whole life, except going away to school/college/travelling etc and am now the 4th generation farming The Cowden Farm. I live here with my wife Linzi and two boys Frazer and Euan

Why they chose this property

When you live in such a beautiful area I thought the best way to share it was to build a new house with all mod cons as traditionally as possible.

What makes this property unique

The location, only 3 miles from Stirling.
Building a house from scratch allowed me the flexibility to plan and build a house for everyone, from an extended family to a working party. There are no steps at all from the car park all the way through the ground floor of the house making it ideal for wheelchair users.
