Fishing trip base
The room was just right for my son and I. There were two twin beads in a studio style room with a couch, bathroom, and kitchen area. Our particular unit overlooked the lake and we were able to throw a line from the deck.
Just stayed one night but very clean
Always peaceful and Restful
Second time here in a month! We will be back!
The property was well kept and we loved the location!
We absolutely loved our stay so much we are comin back in a week! Goin to bring our boat this time since there is a slip at the cabin for ya to dock it. We will be grilling and enjoyin this absolutely beautiful lake front property. Everything you need is right there. The bait shop and boat rentals and Boathouse restaurant is like a two min walk. You will need to bring some cooking utensils if u plan on cookin there. But has a full kitchen and comfy beds! See you soon!
Very Nice Cabin for the Area
We just wanted to get away for the week-end. We weren't looking for a honeymoon suite, but we weren't looking for a fishing cabin either. This fit the ticket, and from what I've seen, this is the nicest cabin you'll find in the area. If we ever look to get away to Realfoot again, this is the cabin we'll be looking for.
Not a prime vacation stay for couples
The property description gave the impression of having use of the whole
Property. We had one room and the communal area was locked. There was nothing in the kitchen. Not even a spoon to measure our coffee. Not having anything to cover the big window made us uncomfortable. At night anyone could walk up and see into our room. We rigged up a sheet with coat hangers for privacy. The sheets smelled
Musty. Just a little extra, like a complimentary bar of soap would have made the difference. The owner obviously makes money off The lodge from group hunting and fishing . We as a couple would have liked some kitchen supplies to cook the fish that we may have caught and just as an option to eating out. The lake is beautiful but lodging in the area is rustic. The owner seemed nice on the phone and responded to our questions promptly. If you come when the lily pads are out look for somewhere else to fish and launch a boat because they are thick around the dock.
Waters Edge is a hunting and fishing lodge. There are 4 units on the second level that costs the standard nightly rate for each unit. The first level includes a master suite, full kitchen, living room and dining room which is booked separately at $400 per day.
