Additionally, in spring 2018 this home installed full air conditioning with the exception of one bedroom upstairs, which stays cool from the other A/C units. Combining urban sophistication and country charm, the main level has a full kitchen, half bath, dining and living area with fireplace and a deck. There are excellent views of the rolling foothills of the Green Mountains from the deck and living area. The upper level consists of three bedrooms and two full baths: The master bedroom with a queen size bed and en-suite bath, and two additional bedrooms, one with a queen size bed and one with twin beds. The Village of Quechee is within easy walking distance.

Whatever time of year you decide to visit Vermont, you will enjoy Quechee's spectacular views, convenience to recreational activities, and a comfortable feeling of luxury and seclusion. While offering the best of Vermont vacations, Quechee is convenient to Boston, New York and Albany, cultural and entertainment events and nearby world class health care (Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center).

Great location and property, but not clean.

  • 2 of 5

We've stayed in Quechee many times and always enjoyed the area, and this condo was the perfect location. And it's been redone so that it's not "80's ski condo," but rather now "retro chic ski cabin." However, when we arrived the place wasn't very clean. The floors had dirt footprints all over them (clearly not washed), and we found hairs in the plates in the kitchen. My wife sent a very polite note to managing company about letting them know, and we never heard a peep of a response even acknowledging.

Owner's Response: Thanks for your review. We are sorry that your email was not seen over the weekend. This is why each of our welcome packets prominently displays the number of our 24-hour help-line line to which we immediately respond. We would have been more than happy to immediately send a house keeper. This winter has had extreme storms and cold weather and the walk-ways are covered with sand. The homes are constantly inspected to avoid any damage from the cold temperatures and frequently the inspectors track some sand from the walkways. This home has dark walnut hardwood floors and footprints are inevitable during the winter season. We strive to make each stay perfect and hope you will return

Good place for a weekend

  • 4 of 5

Plenty of space for two couples and one single; like the open floor plan on first level and furnishings (sofas) were quite comfortable. Nice fireplace though we did not use it. We did not use the small office area on first floor but could serve as additional play area for children or for an additional guest. Mattresses were most comfortable in the two large bedrooms upstairs (though surprisingly had no mattress covers on them) and plenty of extra pillows. Kitchen is nicely renovated w/new counters, tile, deep sink, quiet dishwasher, nice frig. One complaint was that there were only 2-3 forks and knives in the kitchen: there was an empty drawer where we would assume a tray of flatware should be but it was empty...seemed strange. There were 2 other drawers that had a bunch of utensils haphazardly tossed in but again, only a couple of pieces of flatware. We purchased some plastic flatware. There was a dirty cookie sheet left in the oven and towels had been left in the dryer; we folded and put away. Suggestions: put a trash can in the second bedroom; put a mirror in the twin bedded room where there is none; maybe a lamp on the dresser in the second bedroom. Other than the lights in the kitchen and over the dining table, there seemed to be a lack of bright lighting in living area....we had trouble reading the Sunday paper on the blue sofa as no immediate light. Overall an enjoyable weekend in pleasant space.

Owner's Response: Thanks for your good and thorough review of the home. I am glad you enjoyed the home and your weekend. As a management company we pride ourselves on great service and attending to our guests every need. That is why the number for 7x24 service phone line is included in your welcome packet. In our future packets we will mention this multiple times so we make sure that all our guests know about the service available to them. There is flatware in the home and it is located in the dining room hutch. Per your suggestion, we will make sure future guests are aware of this. Again thanks for the great review and we look forward to your next stay. Sincerely, Carefree Quechee Vacations

Cozy and comfortable

  • 4 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend stay at the condo near the quaint town of Quechee, Vermont. The condo was extremely clean and furnished nicely with a mix of antique and Danish modern furniture. The kitchen was large and well-stocked and there's a nice size dining room for group dinners. Lovely deck with beautiful views. Our favorite part, a wood-burning fireplace where we could gather around and play games. We only had 4 people but this would be great for a large group. There are three bedrooms, plus a den that looked like it might have sleeping. The setting is great, close to the town but situated in a wooded area in a condo development. We loved the Simon Pearce glass blowing shop and restaurant. Lots of fun little artisan shops in the area. The property was very well managed. My phone calls for information and directions were immediately answered. I'd definitely recommend this condo and would stay again.
