About the property

2400 Sq. Ft., 4 BR, 3 Full BA, Sleeps 11, 2 TVs, Fast WIFI

Eagle’s Nest is a spacious brand new vacation rental cabin that's in a perfect location for enjoying both Yellowstone Park and all of the amazing outdoor activities available in Island Park, Idaho! This 2400 sq. ft., 4 bedroom / 3 bath cabin sleeps 11 comfortably and is only 21 miles from the west entrance of Yellowstone Park, a scenic drive that takes less than 20 minutes. It’s also only a quarter mile from ATV and snowmobile rentals and an access point to the famous Island Park trail system. You can ride either ATVs or snowmobiles, in season, on the hundreds of miles of intersecting trails traversing this pristine natural wonderland that includes Island Park, ID and West Yellowstone, MT. We have a very large garage where you can park you snowmobiles, ATVs, drift boats, and other toys while you explore the park.

The entire family will enjoy this location. Within less than 3/4 mile from the cabin you’ll have access to a 9-hole golf course, tennis courts, restaurants, a grocery store and more. Within a 5 mile radius you can enjoy fishing or boating on Henry’s Lake or the Henry’s Fork of the Snake River. Rafts, kayaks, canoes and bicycles can also be rented 1/4 mile from the cabin. At night, enjoy an outdoor fire in our fire pit as you plan your next adventure.

The private 1/2 acre property surrounding Eagle’s Nest is forested with lodgepole pines. You’ll enjoy the sights and sounds of nature from the raised wrap-around deck. The birds in Island Park are amazing. Depending on the season you can see and hear flocks of trumpeter swans and waterfowl, ospreys, hawks, eagles, hummingbirds, finches and many species of song birds. The thing you'll notice about Island Park is that wildlife is everywhere: deer, antelope, moose, elk, chipmunks, squirrels and rabbits abound.

Inside, the tastefully rustic decor is inviting. The furniture is comfortable. The upstairs has pine vaulted ceilings throughout. The great room contains a spacious and well-equipped cook’s kitchen, a dining table that seats up to 10, and a living area with a cozy gas fireplace, leather furniture and a 48" TV. The comfortable master bedroom has a king size bed and an adjoining bathroom with a large tiled shower and jetted tub. Two other bedrooms have queen beds and the fourth has 2 sets of bunk beds (twin/full and twin/twin). Each bedroom has easy access to one of the 3 full bathrooms. The downstairs provides a spacious family room with comfortable leather seating and an amazing 65” TV. Fast WIFI allows you to stream video from Netflix, Amazon, YouTube and more, using your accounts. You can also watch Dish Network satellite TV (Top 200 channels) or watch Blu Ray discs from our collection, or rented nearby.

If you’re looking for a comfortable home base for exploring Yellowstone and enjoying the great outdoors with your entire family, you’ll love our Eagle’s Nest! There are lots of other day trips to choose from, including Teton National Park, Mesa Falls, Harriman State Park, the Red Rocks Lakes nature preserve (a bird watchers dream), and more. Enjoy horseback riding, whitewater or scenic rafting, boating, fishing and hiking. We’ll share our favorite spots for soaking in a natural hot spring or swimming in scenic splendor.

About Magdalena Beall

Photo shows managers: Magdalena and Bruce Beall.

Steim and I, the owners of Eagle's Nest, both love the outdoors. That's what brought us both to Bozeman, MT decades ago. Through the years we have hiked, backpacked, skied a lot (downhill, back-country, and cross country), mountain biked thousands of miles, and dirt biked endlessly through the great outdoors. Nothing is a better day than riding through handlebar high wildflowers, into the dense woods next to creeks, and then to the tops of mountains for pristine views.

Magdalena Beall purchased this cabin in 2015

Why Magdalena Beall chose Island Park

We named our cabin "Eagle's Nest" because we love watching for the big birds wherever we are. Last summer we saw nests in several locations in Island Park and in Yellowstone. Our raised wrap-around deck reminds us of the huge eagle nests we've seen perched in trees or on cliffs high up with their expansive views.

We bought the Eagles Nest because of its prime location. Not only are there miles and miles of trails right near the cabin, for both dirt and snow, but it's not too remote. I often forget the eggs or milk and appreciate being able to walk to the grocery store. Having convenient restaurants nearby is nice so we don't have to drive, or cook, after a long day of playing. We love that there are paved (and plowed) roads all the way to our driveway. We have our driveway plowed in the winter and there is plenty of parking space for long snowmobile trailers. There is so much National Park, National Forest, and state land to explore all within minutes of the property. We aren't fishermen but our friends who do fish are quite excited about the location. Being a few miles from Henry's Lake, the Henry's Fork of the Snake River and Big Springs is very nice. Yellowstone Park also has its huge lake trout in Yellowstone Lake. Fishermen can keep as many lake trout as they want, but even one can feed a family!

What makes this cabin unique

The more we stay at the cabin the more we appreciate the privacy there. We love the lay-out and having friends and family over. The house entertains nicely. Watching sports or movies in HD on the giant 65" screen is a treat for us. We plan to come down and enjoy the cabin this summer because we love the area. It's just so gorgeous and so much fun!

Great Vacation!!!!

  • 5 of 5

This residence was perfect for our family of eight. We explored Yellostone and the Grand Tetons National Parks. It was a great starting point for both parks. The stores and restaurants in Island Park were close by the cabin. The cabin was well stocked with all our needs. Each night the family would gather around the fire pit in back and roast marshmallows and have wonderful family experience. My three grandsons will carry memories of the "Eagles Nest" forever. Thank you for a great vacation.

The cabin was amazing!

  • 5 of 5

Seven adults, and one child on a family vacation. The cabin was very roomy, and the location was quiet and relaxing.

Thrre was enough seating for everyone inside the cabin, and out on the deck. The cabin was very clean, and had everything needed to cook large meals. The detached 2 car garage was very useful. The fire pit in the back yard came in handy, too. This cabin was only 20 minutes from West Yellowstone, and had several fishing locations close by. As well as a fly fishing shop within a couple of miles. I would highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking to visit Yellowstone, to go fishing, or to just relax and enjoy the mountains.

Nice cabin

  • 5 of 5

This is a nice cabin upstairs with a finished basement area below. We enjoyed our stay there although we would have enjoyed it more had it been cleaner. Upon arrival, we spent the first couple of hours cleaning so we would feel comfortable there (neither the refrigerator nor the microwave had been cleaned and there were a lot of cobwebs on lamps and walls; towels were hanging on hooks and smelled funny so we felt the need to wash the linens and towels before using them). The cabin needs a good deep cleaning and apparently the cleaning staff is in need of more supervision. Other than that, it's a great cabin in a good location, only a few scenic minutes driving time from West Yellowstone.
